aka Europe's top scorer has asked to be transfer listed. Should go in the 5m range. We should look into this. He would be much more effective than a Di Canio - younger, faster, more prolific scorer.

unproven in a big league tho, so i wonder if hed consider joining a big club like us.

hed go for more than 5m surely ..

We would still have to wait for weeks before his work permit gets approved should he join us or is a naturalized portugese?

didn't he return to portugal after one season in turkey which was successful because he was unsettled? They have a similar climate to that in portugal, so would find it highly unlikely that hr's be able to settle down well in northern england.

Would be a hit anywherere. A true hitman and a naturalised Portugesse. But to similar to ruud for my liking :(

I DONT THINK HE IS THE RIGHT MAN FOR US. HE IS 30 AND NOT THE KIND OF STRIKER WE NEED.

The guy is never truly settled and is a bit of a potential trouble maker. Wouldn't really add anything more than depth either (not that we can't do with that!).

He's a trouble maker alright... Before he asked to be transferlisted he wasn't going to feauture in a number of Sporting's games (including CL qualification) because he has trouble with his wife (ran away or something)

I've always thought Jardel was a top player, but two things go against him imo:

a) is unproven in the big leagues, but he does have CL experiance.

b) I always hear he has problems with his attitude.

I think we can do without him.

If this is true then no point of buying him!

He may be unproven in the "big leagues" but he has certainly proved himself in the CL. £5m is a good price for him bit I dont think he'd settle in Manchester.

In step Leeds United, should work well with Bowyer.
