He's one of the best footballers on the planet in his age-group. No chance Madrid would let him leave.
 
If its either Isco or Rodriguez then will the nationality be given preference?
 
Would take in a heartbeat. Finally a proper number 10. Not what we most need but hey.
 
We just do not buy these type of players. And even if we do, it will probably end up like Di Maria again
 
Do not want. He's a rich mans Mata. He'd be better off at City or Arsenal. . Even Liverpool. We'd not suit him. I'd prefer Isco.. who is more dynamic.

Isco is much more likely to want to get on the ball and take men on. He's like David Silva to James Rodriguez who is an Ozil. Difference being the latter is more assist and goal orientated but doesn't get overly involved with the play making aspects of the game from deep and is more of a final third player.

We can't afford a luxury player who is just a final third player. . We need playmakers who can add some drive and direction to our possession. Control the game and be the conductor for us. . We miss players like that in the side hence why we pass aimlessly sideways with no one taking responsibility. In a good side which is already purposeful with the ball and moves it around quickly. . Guys like Rodriguez and Ozil are dangerous as they can operate in a subtle manner and pop in dangerous pockets of space and make things happen but in a side which is broken like ours.. you need a Isco, Coutinho or Barkley type of AM who can grab the game by scruff of its neck and turn your stale possession into a breathtaking attack with one drop of the shoulder and embarking on a slaloming run. Similar to what Martial does for us on the wing.
 
Isco is a great player but James is just a level above him in most aspects of the game.
