A DS style cartridge that allows you to download roms and put them on there. I have all the best DS games on there and can play them all for free.
 
I bought the new metallic red DS lite that to my knowledge is only avaliable in the US. I had the original DS, i do think they are great little machines though.

New Super Mario Brothers is worth a look at if you like games with a retro platformer feel. I loved it.

Out of all the games I have the must buys are:

Animal crossing wild world
Super mario 64
Ninja gaiden: dragon sword
Apollo justice: ace attorney
Mario kart
New super mario brothers
Nintendogs
More brain training
Tiger woods PGA tour 08
Professor layton and the curious village

I'm not a huge fan of the zelda series but if you are, then Zelda phantom hourglass is a must buy.

I said IF HE'S a fan of the series its a must buy as all my friends who have it (who are fans of the series) love it along with many many other people it seems. I added zelda in there because usually I only ever recommend games that I own and like as I don't care too much about biased reviewers and their reviews but as most people seem to love zelda and everyone of them loves this game, so I thought I'd recommend it.
 
I'd leave R4s well alone as it looks like it's going to be involved in a VERY nasty lawsuit. Something like the retailers releasing the details of people who've purchased them doesn't look unlikely.

Somebody told me earlier this week they thought New SMB was unbelivably shit and put them off ever being recomended a game by anyone or going by hype ever again. Something about the fact it's too easy to accumulate lives.

This is why I pay for my games (plus i like having the original and the trade in value). The thing is though it can be argueed that an R4 was designed for music and video, its not their fault that ppl use it to play emulated games on it.
 
Could i just thank everybody in this thread who post good game recommendations for DS, just bought one two weeks back with some of the games recommended in this thread in its feckin excellent.:cool:

Been playing it on the train to work non-stop. Good job boys.:D
 
It's immense with a flash card, I love Playstation but DS > PSP
