Iturbe has joined Bournemouth on loan

The premier league is nuts.

Jesus. Good signing. PL sides can sign whoever they want. Our serious interest in Neymar might face some competition. Watford and Sunderland might chuck their hat in to the ring too.

Remember watching him for Cerro and just assuming he would go on to move to one of the big sides. Very talented.

Seems like he has a Shaqiri-esque attitude issue, this could be an excellent move for him.

Yes, the talent is there but there is definitely a reason as to why he hasn't settled at a decent side yet. I'd expect him to be hit and miss for Bournemouth, will be a couple of games where he plays very well, similar to Deulofeu during his loan spell.

He was on his way to Watford before signing for them. Seems the bigger clubs know something we don't.

werent Juve and Roma fighting it out for his signature at one point? What the hell happened to him?
They were, and it was quite a coup at the time for Roma. He's a young player with a big price tag struggling for consistency and is playing for a team that hasn't been doing well for the majority of his time there. He's not the first and won't be the last who suffer under similar circumstances.

The last new Messi, wasn't he?

Will make Bournmouth even better to watch. Good stuff.

Thanks..Can he turn it around though? And why did Roma give up on him so easily?

Is going to be one of these January signings you're amazed at then he never really features much.

Quaresma style.

Bournemouth/Verona is about his level, but he might turn into a good midtable player. Seeing how Serie A flops like Bojan and Shaqiri are doing, Iturbe will tear things up. ;)

For comparison, Lamela was more impressive in his one good Serie A season than Iturbe was for Verona.

Roma are an odd side. They signed Jedvaj from Zagreb, didn't play him and loaned him out to Leverkusen where he had a great season and looks a brilliant buy for them. Currently out with a number of injuries but was one of the better rightbacks last season despite breaking through at Zagreb as a CB.

Look at their transfer page. Each season they have such a high turnover. Salih Ucan is another player I remember (had all three of Jedvaj, Iturbe and Ucan in my SM squad). He went from Fenerbahce to Roma on a two year loan which seems pointless as he's getting feck all game time there.

And then there's the weird goings on with Ashley Cole and now they got rid of him and have another leftback on loan (Digne from PSG, another player in my SM squad, but things seem to be going well for him).

Italy are weird with transfers, I guess it'll get more so now that they can't hedge their bets with co-ownerships. They tend to loan a lot of prospects, kind of like a trial run to see if they're worth buying.

Look at Juventus, loaned Pereyra last season, bough him this one, and currently have FM wonderkid Guido Vadala on loan(in their reserves) from Boca, with an option to buy between now and summer 2017.

He isnt starting over Benik Afobe?

I put him in my fantasy team and was actually pretty livid Marc Pugh started over him with all the injuries. That being said, Pugh went on to have a great game. I though Iturbe looked good against West ham and was sure to start. Benik Afobe is an actual striker, Iturbe won't be competing with him for a place

what happened to this guy? I havent been following anyone other than united even on motd so im not aware of his development or afobe's

Turned out Youtube lied.

Think fans in general take almost everything related to players black and white.Did he make a debut at all?

Afobe has done well I think. Not heard Iturbe's name since he signed. Don't really watch MOTD much either these days too.

According to Wikipedia Iturbe have played 4 games, two in the league and two in the FA Cup. Generally it seems like the players who've played the most for them are those that got them up.

What a player. Signing of the season and shoe-in for the individual accolades at the end of this season.

Maybe not. Still surprised he hasn't featured more for them.
