They're in a position where they can say jump and the US will ask how high.

A few campaign donations to get the number raised and then apply pressure that anyone who rejects it is a anti-Semite. It's an easy ruse.

It wouldn't surprise me if Israel have demanded certain sums to not wipe out all gazans. Even this abhorrent security zone/land grab we're seeing proposed will no doubt be funded by US taxpayers.
 
I love this reversal in roles in which the Israeli officials and army are trying to appear more humane than the US and some EU countries.

You can't help but laugh at this absurdity.

The whole point is that Israel is banking on US support to commit genocide, if there wasn't such support, Israel would be far less willing to commit to such atrocities, and such atrocitied would also get much bigger response from Egypt and Iran.

It is ridiculous to pin anything on anyone but USA (apart from Israel), not actually ridiculous but either extremely naive or dishonest if there is no naivety involved.

With or without US, there is feck all that Iran can do to Israel and Egypt have ceased having problems with Israel for almost half a century.

Israel cannot be threatened military. However, they should have been politically and economically isolated during this bloodthirsty campaign. US and most of EU countries that matter not only didn’t do that, but they have actively supported, including military, Israel in what is almost reaching the threshold of genocide.

This guy reminds me of the COVID mother who's sons died because they refused to be immunised and she still wouldn't change her mind.

Early on when he thought she'd been killed, he said he was happy when he was told she was dead because HE couldn't bear the thoughts of her being held captive by Hamas. It would have been too much for him to bear apparently.

His daughter is going to have a strange time looking back on his statements as an adult.

He was distraught and nearly unable to speak when he was made a focal point of the Hamas is IS campaign.

Then his daughter was released by Hamas. Now he is being trotted out as a PR move to show how bad Hamas is again.

It wouldn't surprise me if he is being lent on to a lesser or greater degree to continue the campaign.

Yes, they are pressuring. I highly doubt that Egypt will agree to that. Israel tried it with Egypt directly and are now trying to get the US involved. I doubt Egypt give up the crossing and the corridor tbh. They've been bombing the south part of the border but that's different to controlling it.

It would take a lot and I mean a lot for Egypt to give control of the borders up. Like I mentioned before, it would break the camp David accords and pretty much force Egypt into a lose lose situation.
 
Westerners wonder why Arabs hold so much anger at the west? Do you blame them? you have been decimating this part of the planet with wars, destruction and injustice for the past 110 years.

I am in Sweden doing some consultant work and I watch the morning news every day before work. They have finally started discussing and analysing potential war crimes commited by Israel in mainstream media.
 
We can all post all sorts of tweets on the alleged war crimes committed in Gaza, we’re not going to make any progress until the US is fully (and blindly) backing Israel every step of the way.
