As expected, many of the atrocities alleged to have happened on October the 7th turned out to be purely fictional.
They are suggesting such stories emerged out of confusion and trauma..blah blah.

Can you blame them? They were shocked.
This is happening on both sides to be fair - each seeking to gain moral leverage over the other by gaslighting their audiences into believing the other side are not telling the truth. its all a part of the narrative war.

By the look of it she didn't work hard and carefully enough.
Should be pointed out just who she is, for those with shorter memory.
She's a tech reporter for a major mainstream newspaper (the WaPo). I've had a look at her recent articles and they are all technology and media related.
That should disqualify her as a source of information for this geopolitical conflict.
She was also have been found out recently with old racist remarks toward the Palestinians that she did not challenge at all when put forward to her.
Working for the Washington Post is about as mainstream as it gets. She was at the Wall Street Journal prior to that, which is another mainstream outlet.
But remember it's really complex.
I don't know any of those people, so I can just repeat reports in Israel media: Those are mostly family members of the hostages and of soldiers killed in Gaza.
The absolute bollocks being spread is unsurprising. However, it is indeed refreshing to see so many call the bullshit out in the replies. The vast majority of posts about Israel/Palestine seem to be full of Zionists replies.
I also really, really miss Spitting Image. It was always so good at satirical sketches like this. I also remember that like Have I Got News For You, and Mock The Week and other satirical comedy shows, they often cut to the truth quicker and help educate or change opinions on many issues. I remember some of my dad's mates chatting about Spitting Image in the pub all the time.
Having 95% of the media on your side and getting these numbers... not great.

Social media has some advantages. There's a limit to how much you can polish a turd.
