Is waiting untill after the world cup to buy players wise?

On the one hand you get to see if they can do the business on the big stage, on the other hand if the player you have in mind has a brilliant world cup you may not be able to afford him afterwards...

Hopefully we wont miss out on someone this way

Yes. Like Kenyon said, they won't be making any impulse buys. We already have our targets, the World Cup is an extra scouting mission to see which of the targets is best suited, in my opinion.
