Is the fixture list being fair to us?

If you had noticed, for the past 2 seasons, we had been given a fixture list to play all the big guns within a month or so. (Liverpool, Arsenal, Newcastle all in 1 month). I wonder why has this not the case for other clubs? I didn't see Arsenal or Liverpool with such horrendus month to overcome. Their tough games had been spread out nicely while United had been given a month of hell. Now, our title hopes depends on this month alone. Also, is that a coiencidence that we always play Arsenal in the last few games of the season? And is that a coiencidence that we always had the most difficult ties in April and May compared to the other 2? Isn't the fixture randomly picked, or is there a certain order/sequence of match to follow?

You better not go there.

You wouldn't want people to think that the Man Utd fans are looking for an alibi as to why they did not win the PL last year and why they will not win it this year.

It's not good to go around shouting "Fixture conspiracy!!!" as an excuse.

I think that it is better to have all of the tough ones lumped together. It gets the team going far more than a load of matches against bottom of the table opposition.

Lets not forget that the toughest season of all was the one where we won the treble

Champions league : Bayern, Barca, Inter, Juve, Bayern

FA Cup :- Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal, Toon

League :- Difficult matches among all the FA and Champions League committments

We are at our best under pressure. DOnt forget that our best performances this season have been against Leeds and Chelsea (inspite of the results)

i agree with Weaste and Sunny

if there's any "fixture conspiracy" then it's SAF asking for a tough fixture from the FA.. it does push us harder.

And guess what, while we're thinkin only of November, did anyone notice that we'd be stuck playing these guys again around March and April? Isn't that just dandy!

Snap out of the paranoia buzz there boy

You have to play them all sometime makes no difference when. Top two seeded teams always have to face each other in the last couple of games, to try to make the end of the season more exciting.

I'd delete this thread before the Scouse/Arse bandits get hold of it.

I think its a good thing getting all the big matches after each other, we always respond to pressure and if we can win them we can get a bit of momentum going.

Except for one post, all posts have been in the United forum?

Are you saying that he is obsessed with United and has no other interests? ;)

No, but the topics listed aren't the most positive. Plus I think he's under investigation ;)

You have to play everybody sometime

The fixture list does look cruel sometimes but only when you're playing shit

A few years ago it appeared as if there were no hard games all season

Don't know if it's a coincidence but it surely isn't that the fixture makes up for it by making Arsenal play Manchester United in the last few games of the season.
