We all know dedicated & devoted Roy is.

But for how long will he stay at the club when things are as they are?

How long will he play for a club that doesn't win anything?

And how will he cope with a new manager (and how will a new manager deal with Keane)?

Is Keane's time up & done with soon?

yo! ***********

the guy cannot even play now, why speculate on stupidities?

I believe with confidence that Keane will not leave us if we don't win anything. he'll blame it on himself and if he leaves it will not be because he wants to win with other clubs, it will be because he's ashamed of himself as a captain.

Keane is a true Red. If we sink he will sink with us.

Although i do believe he would not continue his work with a new manager - not as a player anyway. He may move into coaching, but i really doubt he and the next manager will get along. Only SAF is able to handle the madness in Keane. Other managers would have never ever tolerated this.

Rubbish - other managers will line up to get this sort of 'madness' which they would call DRIVE.

Also, why are you sinking our ship so soon?
Maybe you even prepare for relegation?
Have you any idea what Man Utd satns for?

i didn't say we would sink! i said IF we sank! read it properly before making any conclusions.

Of course other managers would love the madness in keane, but not the point of what he has been up to this season. he's come out to say a lot of things which he shouldn't have.

We have seen how Cantona was literally kicked out of Leeds. How Romario has been dropped or let go in several occasions.

there are managers out there who would of coz tolerate madness on the field, but there aren't manay who would tolerate off the field antics.

OOOOH, how nice.

Since you know so much about me,
let me just tell you that fans like me make Manchester United the club they are.
It is more then just a commitment.
I am always glad to see more United supporters but it seems some really have no clue what's it about.
I am tempeted to get nasty here - but your'e not worth it.

what kind of fans are you? the kind who would dump the team if they fell on hard times?

of coz i want to see us win, but there are reality of the facts out there that you have to accept.

if SAF can come out to say he'll rebuild the team then he means he's not expecting much from this troop anymore now is he?

Your a serious sorry asshole mate!

why is that so? argue with facts mate, no need to use abusive language. if you are a true fan you will know better than to call people names.

expalin to me what you think is the problem with what i said. calling me an asshole won't help this thing gets resolved. and won't certainly help my opinion of you.

u simply didn't get my point and you abuse me for it. who's the asshole here then?

I think you talk absolute crap in terms of Keane. You know absolutely nothing about the guy or what drives the guy. Read his book, listen to his team mates and his manager, but cut out the shit.

Well, maybe his time isn't over, but with the injuries he's had (and he's getting older) you have to wonder whether his best days are behind him :)

agreed. . .the body can no longer keep up the drive which was once its most potent weapon, so the mind suffers.

;)

what a silly notion..keane finished??It will take a lot more than a hip injury or persecution, bordering on racism, from the British rag industry to finish the greatest player in English Football over the past decade..My god what are you on???

why are people responding to a blatant wind-up by a scouser, or whatever peewee is.

that's frankly ludicrous, even from a manyoo fan.

you don't think there's the remotest, outside chance that he brings it on him fecking self?

Keano is a great Red!
he will stay with us, and we need him to fight for victory.
He is the Captain!

ooh, very profound

roy's never relied on pace, he's relied on physical fitness, strength and vision. our roy's had a few injuries and quite a lot of wars but he'll be on top of his game and his body for the next 3 or 4 years.
the smell of onions. ;)

Roy will stay as britain's top player for a few more years to come.

(that's after i brushed my teeth, watched a game of baseball and played some NFL on the Xbox).
I love it when people like you wait for abusive language to surface their own abusive 'qualities'.

By the way - I was born in Manchester, lived in england up to 2 years ago, and i am related to a certain 'charlton' family.
g'night mate.

Gerard like Owen and Fowler before him will suffer recurring injuries because he was brought into the first team too young.
YES SIR THATS MY ONION!

Another example of Muppetry.
United without Keane = Points dropped.
Its that simple.
Yes he can't go on forever but just coz we haven't seen him for a while doesn't mean we should forget all Keane has left to offer.
There has been a mass outbreak of Muppetry in the caf .

Keane has been united's most important player in the last 30 years. More important than Robbo, Cantona and all the other greats. My concern is that his aura dominates the players so much that when he is out (injured or suspended - both of which will become more and more common)he leaves a massive unfillable hole behind. If he moved on it would allow genuine, serious rebuilding which is what we need. Don't get me wrong, I'll blub like a baby when he does go, but maybe it's for the best...

If some of the other players pulled their fecking fingers out it would be better,to suggest that Keane should leave is a bloody ridiculous notion,we wouldnt win another trophy for at least five years,if we were lucky.Oh and yes the witchhunt directed at Keane was real and it was racist

I totally agree with you that if Keane left it would leave a GAP to fill. Keane himself filled a huge gap when Captain Marvel left. But that happened over time. One cannot expect that Fergie can manage that stunt again. And I cannot see any player at all that will fill Keane's boots. One thing is finding a player that is as fierce and committed, and skilled enough, a much more difficult job is to convince the other players that "a new boss" has arrived. Same poblem may also happen when Fergie leaves. Replacing some few players we easily can, but replacing characters and bosses aren't that easy.

And I am totally convinced that people like Bruce, Cantona, Schmeichel and Keane won us the titles. The people that pick up the flag and marches on. Leaders. I cannot see any leader in the squad beside Keane. Beckham? Maybe, but not instantly. Giggs? Nah. Brilliant at his best, but not that type of leader.

But the question wasn't what will happen IF Keane leaves. The question was if it is likely that he will departure soon? Is it an insane idea, or is it remotely realistic?

The one thing that is for certainis that Keane is getting older and he will become more prone to those little niggly injuries. The way Keane plays requires a massive amount of stamina and there is only so long his body will be able to take that punishment 40 or 50 games a season.
To say his time is over maybe a little bit premature but we will only know once he has settled back into playing. He still has a very important role to play at the club whether it is captain or coaching.
I personnally don't think he will leave Old Trafford, I know he has said he wants to play for Celtic but i'm not sure he'll go. I think he'll move from the playing staff to the coaching staff. I'd love to see him at the Youth Academy with McClair but only time will tell
