is giggs still vice-captain ?

He was last season, but in preseason becks wore the armband when keano was not playing. Why ? I think giggsy did well as vice-captain.
Anyone has some information ?

But i agree with you.
Giggs surely can do his best as the vice-captain. :)
 
Becks has, IMHO, proved that he's a better leader than Giggsy. The vice-captain role tho isn't very important.

Maybe he hasn't done more for United than Giggs. What does that mean, anyway?

But Becks is a better captain than Giggs. Giggs with or without the captains armband is the same player. Becks, when wearing the captains armband, always tend to play better.

Well, there hasn't been many. The only one I can think (but for against Parma, pre-season) of is away to Spurs last season. He wasn't playing very good at that time but was amazing in the second half in that match (as where the whole team for that matter). I don't thnik he'd have been as good had he not been captain.

I had never thought of Beckham as a captain before he was named England captain. And, TBH, I thought it was a stupid move by [whoever was in charge] but Becks proved me wrong.

I just feel giggsy deserves it, but if it gets becks giving it even more then fair enough. Anyway I hope our boy roy will have an injury free season and vice-captain won't need be called upon....

Fergie is right in doing this. Becks is our most natural successor to the captain armband once Keano retired. Besides, I also feel that Becks would somehow up his game when he wears the armband.
 
At the end of the day it doesn't matter if you are branded with a status in the team, i.e. Vice Captain, Captain etc. If you are natural leader, and a positive influence, it will show on the pitch anyway.
 
I think he only wore it for the one game, and that was for some reason whihc the commentator said, but i can't remember what it was.
 
No, he wore it against Parma, but took it over as Keano left the field (with giggs still on it) against Boca.
 
We need a good vice captain as if Keano plays as usual.
 
Giggsy is better than Becks for the vice-captain job. How about Gary?
 
Giggs when he's vice captain barely lead at all from what I've seen, he can be just as invisible in those games. Becks seems much more of a leader to me, and I noticed the switch in the Parma game, it may well be that Beckham is now vice-captain.
