....at the news Gerrard may not be fit for the world cup?

I reckon he is happy myself as he doesn't give a feck about the scouse cnut
 
If questioned, naturally he'll say he's disappointed... inside, though, he'll be doing cartwheels. Who wouldn't want to play for their country in the World Cup? He's only human.
Besides, you're right, Gerard is a scouse cnut

Its a good thing for England,
Butt has played excellent all season and would have been pushing hard for the place either way. Gerard would have gooten the nod probably on reputatation.
Butt is the player on form and its only right he plays.
 
Pity that Butt will never even be half the player that Gerrard is though isn't it. :D

pity for pool is that butt is already the player stevie g will never be.
 
Butt wishes he had half Gerrard's ability. Even you mancs can't truely believe that Butt is anywhere near as good as Gerrard. Gerrard's passing, tackling, stamina and shooting are all superior to Butt's. Hence why Gerrard is a automatic choice and Butt is a reserve. Butt is very limited in his ability and you know it. Plus Gerrard is only going to get better while Butt is at his peak.

although i agree gerrard is a better ALL-ROUND midfielder when he plays at his best (which he rarely does). The above statement is a fecking disgrace .... come back when you have watched a football match mate.

Gerard has played very ordinary all season, since the German game he hasnt been noticed.
Hes a very ordinary player who had an ordinary season.
H is a million miles away from Keanes standards and loosing the race with Butt.

We can always rely on Liverpool fans to miss something so obvious that even someone with a pea for a brain could notice.

Nicky is not a regular in the Manchester United team because we have the strongest squad in the Premiership. At another club he would be a regular first teamer. The fact that he prefers to stay a Red Devil rather than go to another team speaks volumes about the lad`s loyalty and ambition.

Steve Gerrard has not even started to develop the kind of consistency that allows comparisons with truly class midfield players - and Nicky Butt shows far more consistency despite not being a regular first team player.

The fact is - Nicky Butt is a True Red Devil and makes Steve Gerrard look like a try-hard.

Butt has to be happy. He will be more than adequate replacement for Gerrard

he played a key role all year for MU and would tool little stevie. SG played a bit part in pools back half of the season.

And another point for our Liverpool friend who would not know an argument if it came up and clubbed him on the head with an iron bar - Nicky Butt is a gritty lad who gets going especially when the going gets tough.

He doesn`t flash in and out of a game - he works steadily away for 90 minutes, soaking up pressure and curbing the opposition. He also creates chances for his team mates.

Other teams would be very, very lucky to have the Buttster in their team. Dream on! :p :p :p :p :p :p :p
 
Somehow I don't think it is fair that Butt has been consistently impressing people for about 6 years and Gerrard just steps in, has a good season and some great games for England and all of a sudden Butt isn't fit to lace Gerrard's boots. :rolleyes: No doubt SG is a quality player, but I don't think a player like Butt deserves to be named 'not even half the player Gerrard is'. <img src="graemlins/annoyed.gif" border="0" alt="[Annoyed]" />
