Ireland v NZ

Err... the Paddies could win this.

And by 'could' I mean 'almost certainly won't', but it's more plausible than usual. They've done well.

New Zealand got 45 off last 3 overs... pretty much ended any hope for the Irish. Some nice shots now, but not enough to build up a decent run rate.

These two'll need to get the bulk of the runs I'd say

If I may ask, did you two know anything about cricket prior to this World Cup?

Feck me, another 6.

They're making a decent show of it

And 6 runs off that over too...

Kevin O'Brien should immigrate to Bangladesh so he can get a test cap

tis kinda funny.
Most Irish guys that I know readily admit that they wouldn't be caught dead watching cricket, not to mention discussing the runs per over required, prior to this world cup.
I don't know if it was the win over Pakistan that spiked interest but certainly it caught on over there, at least with the folk I've been talking to.

It was quite funny that day. It was paddys day and the mood had dipped a bit because we lost out on the rugby six nations. Then in the background later in the night the cricket was on, people started to realise that there was a massive upset on the cards, all the people who actually knew the rules were expalining it to all the other people in the pubs. It really caught everyones imagination.
