iPod not working on 360

The past few times I've been on my 360 and plugged my USB connecting my iPod in as usual but my iPod isnt showing up whenever I go to play it.

Can anyone gimme any help? I looked around google and people from other forums have been saying Apple wont allow Microsoft to play iPods after a recent patch but I've downloaded no patch recently.
 
well. i know when i used to plug my iPod nano into my xbox it would detect it after a few seconds. However when ever i plug my Ipod video in it doesnt detect it at all.

Im not sure if it just takes ages for the ipod video to load or whether the xbox rejects any hard drive/plug in over over a certain amount of GB.
 
Usb cable. I hope your not being pedantic and pulling me up on the fact that i wrote Xbox in stead of Xbox 360??

Apple removed the functionality for the iPod touch to mount as an external drive, possibly to stop people having read/write access to the root of the firmware, anyway, becuase of this, devices like your PC/Mac, 360, Wii and other consoles will not read the iPod touch as an external drive.

At this moment in time there is no way official Apple-method to transport/access/write files onto your iPod touch.

Apple are releasing an official SDK for the iPod touch in feburary which could come with this functionality.

I hate it when device manufacturers do this the cnuts. It's like my missus' camera and my Dad's (both Canon), if I plug it into something, it will not act as a mass storage device, it wants you to install the software that comes with it on a PC or a Mac, if not, no go. My camera you just plug into anything and its storage can be read. Stupid really, because if you have a card reader you can just whip the storage out of the camera and use it that way.
 
.. yeh but my iPod classic didn't work. So it isnt anything to do with the touch.
