- Tendulkar has 13 50s and a century to his name. Leading run scorer in the 2010 season with 618 runs. Considering he was in the twilight years when IPL was formed his record is excellent showing his adaptability to the format known as the 'young man's game'. He is one of the greatest of all time after-all.
- Warner is the fifth highest run scorer in IPL history and the only non-Indian in the top five. Excluding 2017, he previously won the leading run scorer award in the 2015 season with 562 runs. Also he's fourth in the list for most sixes. Powerful, destructive and extremely difficult to bowl to because of his vast array of strokes. Stop him if you can.
- Raina is the highest run scorer in IPL history with 4540 at an average of 34 and S/R of nearly 140. Inventive and busy left hander he can both accelerate the innings at a rate of knots or play a steady role and go big near the end. The perfect number 3 for this format and a match winner. 31 50s and 1 100.
- Yuvraj is a match-winner with bat and ball. 12 50s, S/R of 131, can play an anchor role if needed as well as going ballistic. Then with the ball his accurate left arm spin will be very useful in the middle overs to tighten my opponents innings. He has two hat-tricks to his name so can even do more than that.
- McCullum has 13 50s and two centuries to his name including an explosive century in the inaugural match of IPL. Another player who scores all around the park, his clean striking and fearlessness will propel my innings.
- Iyer won the Emerging Player award for the 2015 season when he racked up 439 runs at 33.76 average + 128 S/R. A young player whose exuberance will be a great addition to the destruction the senior players above will cause.
- Badrinath is a solid, anchoring type whose cool composure will perform different roles dependent on the situation. 1441 runs at an average of 30 and 118 S/R shows his career was consistent and in his peak season [2011] he averaged 56.57 scoring 396 runs in the process - helping CSK win the title.
- Chawla is the fourth highest wicket taker in IPL history with 126 at an average of 25, an economy rate of 7.63 and s/r of just over 20. Reliable match winning spinner.
- McClenaghan has been one of the stars of IPL in recent years. Excluding 2017, he has taken 35 wickets in his first two campaigns.
- Harris as usual will be the wily niggling seamer whose experience will be valuable. Peak, fit Harris pulled up great stats
- RP Singh was one of the original star players of IPL and the leading wicket taker of 2010. Left arm fast with the ability to swing the ball, as a new ball opener he'll have a good time.
