Post all the latest/cool applications for the iPhone here, share all the hidden gems you've found.

Muller found a great one called PhotoSwap, where you take a photo and send it to a random person around the world, you get one back from them and it can be quite funny. It is free too.

Some games I enjoy are:

Topple - Free - Like Tetris but with physics, if theres too much on one side it topples over and you have to reach a certain height.

DoneDrinkin - Free - Tilt the phone to balance the drunk, try and beat your best distance.

Tap Tap Revenge - Free - Guitar Hero basically but using your fingers.

SPinLite - Free (Full version costs money) - Great little game, you have a minute to spin and flip the items to match the shape in the background.

Keepitup - Free - Kick ups basically.

Labyrinth - Free - Tilt the iPhone to move the ball

Chopper - £0.59p - Worth it for only 60p, gotta move the helicopter to pick up people, bomb terrorists, etc...

Probably know this one its called shazam, its free too and if there is a song you like but dont know the name of you hold your phone up and it tells you the name and artist, works really well too!

My Map - Allows you to track journeys you have made on a google map

My Rail Lite - Tells you the next 20 or so departures from any rail station in the UK

Tube Status - gives service status for the london underground

Urban Spoon - Gives you a random restaurant, closer to your current location, and the star ratings

It costs 2.59, but Fieldrunners is a quite frankly ridiculously addictive game - similar to TapDefense.

Also Trace is a great free game and RjDj album is a very interesting app that turns the sounds around you into a song. Very entertaining for a walk down the high street.

Trace is great.

That RjDj thingy sounds ace too. Will check it out later.

I found Flick Fishing strangely enjoyable. But then again, I find fishing itself strangely enjoyable. Not many do.

Bloom is an app, created by Brian Eno, which you can use to loop sounds and create ambient, plinky, plonky music. Curiously relaxing.

iFooty is a good way to keep up with the PL action (table, fixtures, results etc.)

Night Stand turns your phone into a bed-side clock.

And last but not least, my favourite app of all, TV Plus. This beauty of an invention allows you to browse the full week's TV schedules and set your Sky+ box to record whatever you fancy, all from the comfort of your phone.

I'm yet to pay for an App :nervous: (Tight bastard).

The TV one Pogue mentioned seems worth a purchase though.

Remote is good for controlling iTunes from your iPhone.

Shazam
identifies music from the radio or TV, it's quite cleaver.

QuickVoice
is a great voice recording app. Very simple to use.

I'm surprised this thread hasn't had any more contributions. I made the following post in the newbs a while back, cheers Karan for copying it to me.

Pinball Dreams

Category: Games.

For those of you who owned an Amiga in the early 90's may be familiar with this game. This is a like for like port of the original and even provides a setting to switch to the classic graphics. All four tables are included; Ignition, Steel Wheel, Beatbox and Nightmare.

I'm absolutely hooked on it. Whenever I have a spare 5 minutes I whip it out and play with it, the game that is. The replay value is pretty good. You can play either vertical with an optional area for your fingers below (see screen shots) or horizontal. The only downer is that it drains the battery like a bitch.

Pricing: There is a free version but it only has the Beatbox table. The full version costs £3 which is slightly above average cost for an iPhone app but well worth it IMO.

Try lucky coins. I think it's still free as well. It's a variation of pinball and incredibly addictive.

The sky sports app is great to. It gives you team line ups and live scores to all top flight matches.

Touch Cricket - quite a good game, get it before the update as its cheap now at 59p.
Flight Control - again, 59p, but its an addictive game
Bejeweled - got the new bejeweled blitz on there from Facebook
Remote - good for houseparties/drinking sessions. Just set up a laptop, and add everyones remote to it, and then everyone with an ipod can vote for songs to be played nexxt
SketchbookX - brilliant drawing app which is free!
And the obvious Facebook and Ebay apps.

ESPN score centre is very good for, well, scores! Covers pretty much any sport you can think of.

Tioti TV+

This is a very handy Sky TV guide that provides some great features including Sky+ remote record and direct BBC iPlayer links (where applicable). There are two different ways to view the schedule, now and next and listings per channel. The screenshots show a very intuitive UI. You can also mark your favourite TV shows and any near listings are highlighted in the My TV section. It's also got a search, a Top 10 for the next 24 hours and an offline schedule viewing option. You can also choose to exclude the Sky channels and show just the Freeview set.

Personally I find the remote record extremely useful as well as the Top 10.

Price: There is a free version but the full one is more than worth it at £1.79.

 Are you just reading the description or do you actually have said game?

Is this a genuine suggestion?

Yes Cluedo is a genuine suggestion. It's not the boardgame (although it is based on it). It's like a murder mystery type game where you get promoted up the ranks. It's not too easy either which i like.

And i would also recommend angry birds, it is very addictive.

That sounds like it could get me through this afternoon, off to iTunes to download cluedo I go.
