IOC president criticises Usain Bolt for lack of respect

What a fecking athlete. He's the best and he knows it. Theres no problem there.

Rogge needs to put a bolt on his mouth :p

seriously though
there is nothing wrong with his celebration

its no different than michael johnson's celebration when he broke the record in atlanta

and what about maurice greene's shoes on fire celebration
that was just as arrogant if not more

his gay dance celebrations reminded me of arsenal and in particular adebayor

When you break WRs you deserve a little show boating, nowt up with that IMO

The guy can feck off. I have fallen in love Usain Bolt. I don't follow sprinters too closely other than the 100, 200 and 400 events in the olympics.

Unlike other Olympic champions, Bolt has captured my imagination. I have become his "fan".

I guess yachtsmen like Rogge don't understand the emotions involved in sprint events on the track. Or, perhaps, he never had reason to celebrate either a world record or a gold medal.

i think you are in love:p

It was no different than the US relay team a few years ago prancing around and lots of people criticized those guys (as did myself). It was ridiculous but typical of many athletes. Personally I could care less. Some people are respectful to their fellow sportsman, some are showboaters, some are arrogant pricks, and some just get caught up in the moment.

To be fair to the lad, i dont think there is anything wrong with his antics before and after the race. I think he tries to do the lightning bolt gesture before the start which is just a bit entertaining, compared with rest standing like zombies and staring at camera like big men. In my eyes he is a legend already.

I found it hilarious, but everyone else in the world seemed to get butt hurt about it mainly because it was the Americans.

Half of my point... imagine the backlash if Usain was American.

I totally agree, imagine if Phelps would have done that he certainly would be getting slated on here

Actually its only the americans who seem to mind his celebrations

jealous maybe......

I didnt have a problem tbh, the rest of the world had a problem when the Americans did it, we are just stating this fact

talking about disrespect

when the US 4x100 womens US team anchor was interviewed after they finished last for dropping the baton

she said that "The US is the best team there and are unlucky and blah blah"

isnt that disrespectful to the jamaican women ???????

I dont follow female sports

I shit you not

actually these were her exact words

" I think someone has done some Voodoo on the US team because we are the best team there and we have been unlucky........etc etc"

Voodoo?? A sly dig at the jamaicans???
 those god damn rastas

I am sure there is a pretty big postmortem going on within the US relay teams. The coach needs to resign, and move back to Jamaica ASAP.

Lots of sprinters have big egos. Not a problem for me. Usain Bolt is a tremendous athlete and I'd like to see what he cn really do if he ran full speed the entire race.

He would be the shittiest football player ever to play for United, and United have a few

i dont see whats so wrong in his celeration. The 100 m race is the most high profile race in athletics and he won he so very comfortably. He has every right to celebrate.
