Of all the images that have come out of Iraq since the US-led invasion six years ago, few have been more damaging to the American cause than the photographs of Iraqi prisoners being humiliated and abused in the Baghdad prison, Abu Ghraib.

George Bush in his final press conference described Abu Ghraib as a "huge disappointment" in his eight years in office.

The world's attention was caught by one photograph in particular - an image which showed a US soldier holding a prisoner on a leash like a dog.

The soldier in the picture was Lynndie England.

As Abu Ghraib prepares to re-open under Iraqi control, in a special extended interview for Outlook, Lynndie England spoke to Outlook's Lucy Ash about her role in the abuse and the consequences for her personally.

Plus the BBC correspondents in Baghdad and Washington at the time the scandal broke - Justin Webb and Caroline Hawley - gave presenter George Arney their views on how the scandal affected both Iraq & the USA.
