From the article
"It is unlikely that the Argentine knew quite enough English to comprehend Keane's vicious criticism of a small detail in John O'Shea's performance, each sentence punctuated with the captain's trademark jut of the neck and swoop of the head. Laurent Blanc certainly understood and discreetly encouraged his young team-mate to ignore every word".

I didn't notice him having a go at 'O'Shea. I thought John played fine. Sounds like Larry's heard enough of Roy too.

feck i hope they get this shit sorted out sooner rather than later.

Looks like the papers are changing their targets. Veron looks to be off the hook for the moment

Perhaps it's because he's showing his potential.

Fickle cnuts.

I can't comment on his performance in the sunderland game until I watch it tonight, but he wasn't rated too highly in our Player Ratings thread and certainly hasn't impressed me in our other games yet. The press might change because they've got somebody else to write about now, and the WC is over, and we beat the Argies.

According to the press, he had a good game. They are certainly backing down, even before the Keane saga.

Perhaps recent goings on are all part of a selfless ploy on Roy's part to have the media focus taken off Juan?

The focus on Keane is probably helping Veron. He had so much pressure on him, it was always going to be difficult for him. He was given virutally no time to adjust and everthing he did was scrutinised.
Keane absence through injury or suspension will help Seba. He will be given the freedom to express himself and be able to control the game, like he did at Lazio

Exactly! Im glad for Seba that hes finally off the hook and the bastards are going after Keano now. I mean, aside from the fact that Keano deserves the criticism of late, he can also fend for himself much better than I think Seba can.

Not to mention Seba's comfort in the midfield. Good for him, I say.

He was his usual self, but his shooting was abysmal.

So he was abysmal all round then? ;) Its funny, he started last season better than this, so far he's carried on where he left off at the end of last season imo.

I was watching Barcelona-Atletico Madrid last night, and my dad pointed out that the intensity, speed, and tenacity of the game was nowhere near a typical PL game.

Now, Serie A is even worse.

I'm just starting to worry that JSV can not express his talent in England, just because he'll never be given enought time on the ball.

Anyway, we'll judge in May. Hope I'm wrong....

Was a good match though wasn't it. For all there stars, Barcelona still struggle at the back.

To be honest, Sunderland's game was his best game for us so far this season. It's certainly not great, but it's decent and acceptable.

Without Keano in coming months, Veron should be at the center of command and will have plenty of the ball. It's the best chance for him to prove what he can do for the team.

Hope he can really deliver and prove his doubters (including me) wrong.

With Keano out Veron will now have to perform. I do believe that in theory Veron should play better without him because they both command the ball.
Reckon the next few months will decide veron's future at OT. He better start performing

I dont think Keano will be missed too much though, we've still got Veron, Butt, Scholes and Beckham who can play in the middle.

Veron will be just fine...just give him the ball and he'll perform. Keano will take all the heat, which he deserves, and let Seba and Becks be the creators in the mid-field. With Ruud up top, we'll be just fine. By the way, the Barcelona back is horrible isn't it!!

Keano deserves to take all the heat ...what kind of fecking Red are you?Twat.

Seba will learn to make the most of the time he has I think. Even now he's passing a lot quicker than he used to. A lot of his play is one touch or look up and play the pass now. He used to take a few seconds longer to decide what to do.
