Amid all the tension of the Jones transfer, I think a bit of light-hearted satire is in order and the Mirror is kind enough to provide it.

Ashley Young to Manchester United, Andres Iniesta and Wayne Hennessey to Man City, Cesc Fabregas to Barcelona, Scott Dann and Gareth Barry to Tottenham, Scott Parker and Gary Cahill to Arsenal, Andy Johnson to West Brom, Cameron Jerome to Stoke: Jame

4) Andres Iniesta, Barcelona to Man City

With Fabregas finally off to Spain it appears, that could make talented Spanish midfielder Iniesta surplus to requirements at the Nou Camp. City have links with Barca after signing Yaya Toure last summer and I've been told they could get the 27-year-old with a bumper bid.

6) Gareth Barry, Man City to Tottenham

I know Barry from his excellent spell at Villa Park and he is a really good bloke and an excellent footballer who has been very effective at Eastlands. But now I am hearing he is likely to be sold by Roberto Mancini this summer as they have some other bigger-profile midfielders coming in, like potentially Iniesta.

Redknapp is a firm admirer having tried to sign Barry previously while at Portsmouth and the star and his family are Spurs fans ,so I can see him going to White Hart Lane to pep up their midfield options with Wilson Palacios and Jermaine Jenas likely to leave this summer.

Being a journalist is so easy nowadays...

Yep, Iniesta being surplus to requirements is probably the funniest part

Not happening... Barca will not be selling Xavi or Iniesta as they know that they are just as important as Messi (Xavi might actually be more important to the teams overall game).

Barcelona will enter the race for Scott Parker to replace Xavi who is almost nine months older than the young Hammers starlet.

The funniest thing about the whole story is the journo thinking fabregas is good enough to be picked ahead of him in the first place, he'll spend half the season next to pep

They will probably just figure out how to play all three of them together if he goes there. Fabregas is way too good to be a bench player.

I found that line particularly amusing, since when is ten years at a club characterised as an 'excellent spell' ?

Saw an interesting tweet from a football agent, in reply to a City fan who asked him who City were specifically interested in buying in this summer window.

Dzagoev - Vucinic - Sneijder - Hamsik - Honda - Asamoah - Fellaini -Mascherano - Cavani - Benatia - Menez - Mata - Rodwell - Zarate - Sanchez - Lavezzi - Modric - Cahill - Pastore - Gervinho - Rossi - Verthongen - Bale - Pique -
Is that Barca's Pique and Macherano? . :D

These owners of Man City remind me of the crazy arab fella's in the films Cannonball Run with Burt Reynolds and co in it.....

Iniesta surplus to requirements? Hahahah.

Iniesta would start over any midfielder(bar Xavi maybe) in the world at any club right now.

Get me Sanchez, better yet, the entire Barcelona Midfield!!!

None of these "big" name stars like Ronaldo, Xavi and Iniesta are going to go Man City. End of story!

Same rag that brought us the Ronaldo to City story...will be Messi on Tuesday and Kaka Weds...load of shite

What a bunch of twats, from the journo to the editor, to the editor chief, owner etc.

A fecking excuse for a newspaper which in all honesty is mostly bought by the scouse.

Why is there even a thread for this 'attention seeking' mindless tripe?
