A package that Cole was assigned to deliver causes a major explosion that destroys six city blocks, leaving behind a crater and Cole as the only survivor. The explosion granted Cole several electricity-based powers, but he falls into unconsciousness, waking up two weeks later to find that Empire City has fallen into chaos; without police, gangs have taken over areas of the city, and a plague has infected many of the residents causing the city to be quarantined by the government. It is revealed by "The Voice of Survival", or Dallas, a surviving disk jockey that broadcasts across the city, that Cole was the cause for the explosion, which sets the population of Empire City against him. Cole must come to terms with his powers, and opt to help those in need or simply survive on his own, facing against large threats that have manifested in the city due to the explosion
Anyone else getting this ?

Just read about it, sounds like good fun, will be buying it.

Is it by the same people who made Fallout 3? Because some of the gameplay sounds identical, like the Karma system.

It is made by Sucker Punch, the company that made Sly Cooper

It's actually quite interesting how similar the basic concept behind these two games (that will be released within basically a month of each other) is. It's sort of as if two completely different people had the same basic idea at the same time some three years ago.

Demo's out on the PS3 Store....It's very playable...the roaming mechanics are brilliant, you can climb everything...But the fighting mechanics are a bit off for me...Too simplistic and the villans are too repetative

But only a demo impression...It certainly looks good enough to get

Its a solid PS3 exclusive, just what the console needs. And there seems to be more of them on the way.

Haven't bought it myself yet but the reviews in general tend to praise its longetivity and value for money so I it seems well worth a purchase.

Definitely better than that shower of shite Uncharted - yes Weaste I said it, I despise that game, its nothing but a pretty face.

IMO it's very good game, the only problem for me was that it was TOO short...

Exactly...I got the game on Wednesday and I'm already done playing it. :(

The graphics are awesome though.

Looks like it could be cool, decent premise and Assassins Creed-like exploration.

But it's not on PC so..

It's....ok. The graphics aren't up to scratch and the enemies are laughable but the fact you can blast cars into people and climb up anywhere and anything makes it quite fun, in places.

The enemies are definately what lets it down...annoying

Just tried it out, graphics are pretty bad if im honest. Seemed fun enough but I dont think it'll warrant a purchase from me.

Prototype next I guess.

I played the demo and it kind of put me off buying iy. Climbing buildings would get boring fast and the enemies are a bit shit.

Going to the town after work and was going to buy it, not usre. IGN gave it a 9.2 so it must be good, argh.

Should I buy it?

Dam I'm not going to buy this. Judging by the demo it isnt anything special. Thats the 2nd game after Killzone all review sites have given 9+ but turn out to be average.

Fingers crossed Virtua Tennis turns out good.

No it doesnt mean that, IGN are one of the most spastic reviewers on the net.

If you didnt like the demo then chances are you wont be into the game that much either. Hold out and see how prototype is when it comes out in a few weeks.

Bought that today as well as inFamous, well let you know how it is.

Really liking this game now, not sure why I didn't like the demo but the full game is great.

Hows the tennis solius?

It's not bad. When it comes down to it, it it basically Virtua Tennis 3 with new additions. In terms of gameplay there isn't much new. A new stumble animation here and there, improved serving, etc...

Theres new mini-games, though they took balloon pop which was my favourite. Online is finally there, only tried it once but it seems good, tiny bit of lag bUt the guy I was playing was in AUS.

Bit strange IGN has its release date down as 2nd June. Yup thats sort of what I expected, and its good enough for me really. From all I read I never expected many changes. Tbf theres only so much they can do with a tennis game. I enjoyed 3 alot so I'll probably pick this one up then. Hope online remains playable.
