Developed by MachineGames and published by Bethesda. Just picked this up yesterday on game pass. Very good so far. Feels like a good choice to go with that action adventure style vs FPS. I'm still wondering around the Vatican beating up Fascists with broomsticks.

Anyone else playing it?

"Always loved the series, but it's been many, many years since I last played it! The last one I finished was The Infernal Machine. :D

The adventure genre is my favorite when it comes to games, but sadly, it doesn't come close to matching the popularity of others like sports or shooters.

Looking forward to picking this up in the New Year after it gets it first discount and it had some patching time. Sounds like it's already fairly without issues at launch but patches sometimes also add quality of life type features. Kinda cool too btw for those who don't have a capable PC or console is that it's added to GeForce Now.

It’s absolutely superb. 10/10.

I’m incredibly picky when it comes to that. But honestly it’s great.

I love when something expected to be a cash grab actually turns out to be quality. Will give it a try at some point.

I'm about an hour in and very much enjoying it, even though up until release I was lukewarm on the prospect of playing it. Love a good chance to beat fascists over the head, and so far it's really well done.

It is though, isn't it? Will eventually come to PS5 but you can't play it there yet.

And also it's on PC. I get that people usually don't mean PC when they talk about exclusives, but I remember a time when console exclusives didn't even appear on PC. Luckily today PC gets basically everything (except Nintendo stuff obviously).

Ah indeed. Forgot about PC.

Loving it. Not sure I quite get how to stealth properly, but solving random puzzles is great fun.

Looks fantastic. I'll either gamepass it at some point, or maybe wait to see if they do a physical release on PS.

Timed console exclusive.

Consoles are for children. PCs are for glorious manchildren with inferiority complexes, who spend too much time on a football forum pretending they're a bird.
Hang on, "pretending"?

Of course "pretending" did you think I was a real pigeon? Haha, that would be weird wouldn't it? It would certainly raise some worrying questions about our I mean their mental acuity. And it would probably be one of the first signs that we I mean they were trying to take over the world as your rightful masters.

I mean our rightful masters. Because im human, not one of the Bird Empire's finest spies trying to infiltrate... Shit...

It’s gorgeous and actually runs very well on my 2060 super. Nice to actually have a well optimised pc game in 2024.

I’ve been playing Uncharted 4 again as part of the legacy of thieves collection and I’m just blown away that this game came out in 2016. It’s also just such an entertaining game throughout and the sort of blockbuster and spectacle driven game we haven’t had since.

Naughty Dog are a very special studio.

Quoting you here so Damo doesn't think I'm shitting up the PS5 thread but... isn't this the type of game you're looking for right now? A bombastic story-driven adventure that's both light-hearted and exciting.

I agree by the way because Uncharted is easily my favourite Sony IP.

Not sure because Uncharted’s writing is top class and the spectacle comes at you at an immense rate. I would like to play this at some point though. Keep in mind that I’m two years behind the gaming cycle so I’ve got a lot of time.

Downloaded this so will give it a go at the weekend. Wasn't blown away by the trailers but the reviews and gameplay I've seen look excellent.

Yes, also on game pass. But must admit I’m finding it a little boring

..and Bloodborne / Demon Souls Bohoo!

But good to read it's great. Good reason to bring my PC back from the dead (cabin) for the holidays. Big fan of MachineGames.

Bloodborne actually has near perfect emulation on PC as of recently actually, with upscaling and 60 fps as far as I know.

Obviously not the same thing but might the best we get.

I would love to have played this on a beefy PC with path tracing. It's a seriously good looking game. Even on console.

Played some more last night, in the Vatican city area. This is much much more interesting than I thought it would be, and even though I'm not big into stealth it's fun in this.

Was really skeptical looking at the trailers since it was a FPS, don't see that often for an adventure game. The reviews are really good though so started playing a bit but stuck because the download isn't completed yet. Frustrating wait given the size of the game

hmm..had a google once and the emulation came up but was a while ago and I think I've read some comments that it was quite choppy. Good to know, will have a second look!

Wanted to dig up the one who posted he got a 2060s - and saw this. Good to hear. Will check it out tomorrow then.

In in Gizah at the moment and TBH, I'm loving this. Really gets the sense of exploration and discovery as well as being a rogue.
