Indiana Jones 4

For some reason I can't see this being great. Old actors should have left the classics instead of revisiting them. I've yet to see Rocky Balboa and Rambo IV but I've heard they weren't all that

i thought Rocky Balboa was very good actually, If you never enjoyed the other Rocky films you won't enjoy it of course but if you did I suspect you would enjoy this one as it was probably better than 3, 4 & 5.

Not seen the new Rambo yet as it hasn't been released in the UK yet but have thought the trailers have looked good.

Rocky Balboa wasn't great but it was watchable unlike Rocky 3 onwards.

In truth Rocky is the only decent one in the series.

As someone who likes the original three, sen them many times, i have concerns over this.

The ending of The Last Crusade was just so, and i wonder if they will acheive the same here. Then there'll be a CGI overload knowing our luck.

But possibly most important, if Harrison Ford should be anyone in this, it should be to take the place of his father, the elder figure. Have a younger man, in the mould of Brendan Fraser in The Mummy, be the new Indiana.

Interesting fact – Tom Selleck was lined up to play Indiana Jones but couldn’t get out of his contract for Magnum P.I. so George Lucas referred Harrison Ford who had only really had limited success as the guy who had played Han Solo in the first two Star Wars movie by that time. It was Indiana Jones that made Ford a star.

dunno about this one. From the trailer Alex posted in the other thread, it looks like a mish-mash of the other 3.

It's the feckin classic of the classics... eighties are back.

Shia LeBeouf is rumoured to play his young sidekick (possibly son?). Spielberg is a big fan of his so I wouldnt be surprised if long term he was going to take over the franchise

I'd heard there trying to keep CGI to the absolute minimum so it doesn't lose its charm. Which is at least promising to hear.

I too are looking forward to this, with CGI or without, it should be a great watch.

Absolutely love Raiders and Crusade, thought Temple was a big pile of steaming shite though.

Can't wait to see the new one. I shall go and watch the trailer in the other thread (why a separate thread?)

Trailer looks fecking great, looking forward to it even more now.

rocky balboa was awful until the last 20min then it was nearly as good as rocky in its peek

i watched john rambo about a month ago on the internet
was really impressed actually, in fact i watched it twice

i really want to see the new indi film looks amazing

but nothing seems new anymore music every band seems to have reformed
old films are being remade its really wierd

India Jones: fecking great movies. Hoping 4 is alright, but not expecting much as Ford is getting on now and im not keen on this Lebeouf bloke, a name that sends bile to my throat to be honest.

Rocky Balboa was a decent movie btw, Stallones best performance as Rocky since the first one. Not seen John Rambo yet but looks fun, large body count, cheesy one liners, explosions and hard violence. Take the missus I reckon.
