I prefer Nehra over Pathan or Khan tbh. Pathan is very overated and the selectors should bring back Sourav.
 
nehra??? nah... i'd pick pathan over these guys. pathan has a lot of potential. we should play him as a bowler for a while and let him bat deep.

must be hard following it in a place where most aren't interested in cricket. for the last 3 years, since i've been studying in the US, my interest in cricket has rapidly decreased.

I've started a thread in the Mod room for a stand alone cricket forum for the Ashes tour and the up coming world cup. Wibbs is the only other mod who likes cricket...

1st one was very lucky, could have ended up badly for us. Second one was a great cover drive.

Kaif hasn't been in form for a long time now.

Sultan I agree thisis Kaif's last chance. Nobody gets into the side on fielding talent alone. Do you think the selectors will have big enough balls to recall ganguly?? Also Yuvraj is due to return after a while.

i'm there already. it's quite monotonous.

we'll definitely miss yuvraj in SA and i'll be quite glad to see kaif go out. he's been disappointing for a long time now. i just hope we can settle on a best 11 before the world cup and stop shuffling around with the batting order so much.

I personally think Ganguly's exclusion is due factors outside ability alone - both Chappel and Ganguly have huge egos, not conducive to a settled dressing room.

why do you feel chappel has a huge ego? i've neevr felt that really. he might want to do things his way and i feel that the coach should have some power in the dressing room. ganguly did have a ego thing going. i think he might step that down a bit to get back into the ODI team. his test career is definitely over.

Yes, you might be correct. I should have said he's very single minded. Bringing back Ganguly would be short termism - having him back is hardly going to help India win the world cup on West Indian tracks.

India's problem are pace bowling and fielding.

we have problems everywhere and yet we don't. our players seem to find it impossible to click together. if the bowlers do a good job the batsman don't show up and vice-versa. personally i think we have the right squad, we need to settle on an eleven and give them some time.

Our pace bowling is pretty good right now.

Patel is a fantastic bowler and he is consistent and fast which is the rarest combination for an Indian pace bowler.

Sreesanth and Pathan on their day can be great with bat and ball.

We also have the experienced trio of Zaheer, Nehra and Agarkar.

Its our batting that has been poor this last year, with Dhoni, Dravid, Sehwag, Pathan, Yuvraj and Kaif all going through a lean patch.
 
Close one for Dravid there. These two need to stick together for at least another 20 overs.
