There has been endless discussion on here about what position needs reinforcement and the equally endless lists of those who could be considered. This has been compounded by the exasperating tabloid 'papers regurgitating rumour after baseless rumour as per bloody usual.

There seems to be some consensus that 4-6 new players is a fair target

I would suggest that we should not be hiring any player over 26 years old

And that we should not be paying over 60m

And if they value the pay above the badge, find another club

I think we'll sign Cavani and that Dutch lad, Van Der Beak? Not sure the latter can cut it in the premier League though, Ajax players tend to struggle for at least a season or two.
 
Eh, I think it really is a case by case basis. Generally speaking you’d want to keep player fees relatively low and still with time to peak in age, but so long as they specifically fit a clear profile we want them to achieve in the side with a clear view of how they fit the system, the transfer fee and the age is (somewhat) immaterial.
 
This squad finished 2nd last year, we just need a decent coach.
 
Everton have a new one coming don't they? And I think I read something about a redevelopment at Craven Cottage.
