Solskjaer - after giving one of the better performances on Saturday. OUT

Veron who was abysmal - IN
Ruud who was abysmal - IN

OK, these two have been great in Europe, though I still think every player should fight for his place. But then you have -

Fortune - IN

What's the point in working your socks off????

RVN wasn't abysmal, he simply wasn't given the ball!

OGS on as sub?

Give Forlan a go, this is the stage for him to belt them lift the fans and make a name.

Get real. It was one of Ruud's worst games for us - maybe a combination of lack of service and lack of fitness. But he did get the ball on occasion and just wasn't sharp enough, or fell over.

I still would have played him tonight - but Solskjaer dropped for Fortune?????

You can't tell me that a player who gave a good performance on Saturday and is then dropped for a player not even half as good won't end up thoroughly demoralised and shot of confidence.

...and what, put Scholsey in central midfield and Phil in the hole behind Ruud <img src="graemlins/lol.gif" border="0" alt="[Laugh Out Loud]" /> <img src="graemlins/lol.gif" border="0" alt="[Laugh Out Loud]" /> <img src="graemlins/lol.gif" border="0" alt="[Laugh Out Loud]" />

Scholes in central midfield.

What a stupid idea.

He's giving Fortune a run out in CMF, someone has to shore up our MF.

Scholsey can drop back and create a 5 man MF if needed, but if it fails, he's off, Ole is on and Scholsey will play that role?

Your missing the point of the thread.

We hear about players having to fight for their place. Where's the incentive if they get dropped for a second-rate player like QF. Sorry, but he is.

(He'll probably score two goals now).

I agree with Livvie, Solskjaer should play. But also, how about Beckham in the middle, we need something new.

Ole should have played...

simple as that...

(Back from the pub)

Ole did play.... I didn't see an awful lot of the game, due to going out with a Celtic supporter who insited on giving me a full round up of every Old Firm game since 1994.

Whatever!

Look.

From what I saw, I deduced the following.

Veron IS class.
I'm not talking about the goal, which was good. But the passing was immense... that man can land a ball on a tuppence. I thought his game was superb tonight, good defensive playing and lots of balls (cajones types). He was instumental in breaking down their defence as becks was.

Whoever said that they want to see Becks on the wings permanent should go and have a small word with themselves. - You'd never see him touch the ball again!

Furtune!
What a game he had, top marks lad. From tonights play I know where my money would be on the Phil vs Fortune sort of bet.

Nice game, I enjoyed it. It was a weakened Levercusen squad so we musn't read too much into it, but the hunger we had for the game gave me a little hope.

Roll on the Hammers!

PS
Livvie, I still think you were misguided
:D
