Gary Neville attends IMUSA meeting - Windy @ 08:52 PST
Thursday the 21st of November saw Gary Neville attend an IMUSA meeting in the International Lounge at Old Trafford.
A mis-understanding regarding the start time of the meeting (IMUSA had advertised a 7.30 start while GN was under the impression it started at 7) meant that, when GN turned up, the crowd rather resembled a Wimbledon home fixture.
However, our fears of a no-show were allayed and the room soon filled. By the time the questions started, the room was almost full with all the age ranges represented.
As with all guest meetings, whatever is said within the confines of the meeting, stay within those confines. However, I don't think it is a breach of confidentiality to say that, when the inevitable question came about the team performance in the derby, Gary gave a thoroughly reassuring retort. He also expressed gratitude for the reception he received against Leverkusen (it was nothing more than he deserved, you don't become a bad player over-night!).
All-in-all, it was a very successful meeting. Gary appeared to enjoy the opportunity to talk directly to the fans and we were left in no doubt that he is passionate about the club and hurts deeply when the team don't perform. It was also very pleasing to see a good number of new members joining on the evening.
(A more in-depth report will appear in the next issue of Red Print)
IMUSA would like to thank Gary Neville, Paddy H. and Di Law for their time and effort and the club for allowing us the use of the International Lounge.
