I notice on here all the transfer talk IMO all of our recent success has been based on a good squad of players (some exceptionally good) but the emphasis has always been on teamwork and a will to die for the cause.
To hear everybody talk on here we should buy all the best players in the world.
My point is we don't want 11+ egotistical players who play as individuals.
Look what has happened to the teams that have snapped all the supposed best players up. Real Madrid being the classic example in current times.OK they won the european cup but are now somewhat in dissarray and when the european wage laws come in they will have to win the Champions League every year just to keep the players they have (who are on long contracts and astronomical wages) long term this = slow death.
We need to sign a couple of players to freshen the squad if only to make the current players know they have to perform to keep their place.
As I have said since pre season I believe we need quality wide cover for Giggs and Beckham preferably adaptable players that could also play full back and to make the squad complete as we all know another world class striker preferably up and coming like Cisse.
I think we have an excellant board and manager who want us to remain at the top for ever (if that is possible). And they realise that splashing money around on every so called superstar who becomes available leads to a financial death and a team on the decline.Every team from time to time has blips of form this is normally in a transitional period from which many don't recover. WE WILL.
Keep the faith people our future is in good hands.
