13th anniversary today

RIP, Ratzenberger and Senna

Never been lucky enough to watch Senna race. But in retrospect I feel the level of mismanagement on those two days was shocking to the core and hats off to those drivers for being professional

has it really been that long?

RIP Ayrton....:( :(

Sorry, its the 13th anniversary

You've seen him race Dr. Dwayne?

Only on tv. I was a huge racing fan when I was younger but I stopped watching Formula One after he died. It still makes me sad to this day.

Brilliant driver and an outstanding person as well.

R.I.P. to both men !.........twas very sad !:( ....... Hyperthetical, but I'm sure Scuhmaker would not have won as many world titles, if Senna was around !
Ps; I'm not Scuh bashing...... maybe even Damon Hill would'nt have won his either!......as they say "that's life".... it's one risky sport, boy those those guys "earn their corn"

I'm guessing the retirement age for drivers back then was more? Senna was 34 when he died.

I did'nt realize he was 34.....if asked, i would have guessed 28-30....but even today, 34 that's not too old. Schu only retired last year, surely he was mid-thirties. Nigel Maunsell must have been in his 30's, when he won his 1st & only, Damon Hill would not have been far off as well !....... Anyway, point taken !
