I'm unable to post from my phone anymore

This will be my only post in this thread until later on (because I'm on my phone; I can start a new thread but cannot post in an existing thread).

The quickpost textbox at the bottom of threads has disappeared when I use the caf from my phone. I'm logged-in, but I cannot post in any threads; the link to the 'advanced' post is not there either. Everything's all intact and working if I use the caf on my PC, but since I make 95% of my posts from my phone this is a bit of a problem for me. I'm using the same phone I've used for the last nine months without any problems (HTC Desire HD) and everything was fine until sometime on Friday. I've not changed anything on my phone as far as I'm aware, and all other sites work fine as per usual, so I'm guessing something's changed on the caf that's caused this. Any other users experienced/experiencing similar problems? Any help or ideas would be appreciated; I can read anything on here, just won't be able to respond until gone 10pm tonight.
 
I have a DHD and can confirm it works fine with the Caf, has to be your phone.

Edit - You can re-size the Quick Reply box, perhaps you have done this by accident and de-creased it to a size where you can't reply?

Go into your settings and make sure these options are ticked:

Loads images
Mobile View
Enable Javascript
 
I don't post from my phone but for the last week or two, I haven't been able to post when using firefox. It's the same as you describe Cider, there is no quick reply text box or option to go advanced. Everything works fine when I use IE though.
 
Also, download Dolphin Browser and see if it's the same on that Cider.
 
I use Dolphin, Hectic. I've just switched to the default Internet app though, logged in and can see the reply box on here. It doesn't show up using Dolphin though! I'm guessing you use Dolphin? Have you used it since Friday?
 
Can we make wr8 unable to post from his computer?
 
Ok, I've downloaded Skyfire 4.0 and there doesn't seem to be a problem here either.

Hectic, what version of Dolphin are you using? I've got the latest 6.1.0 and that's where the problem seems to be occurring. I've been using this build for a few weeks without issue though so I'm not sure what's gone wrong.

Skyfire's got some good reviews anyway whereas Dolphin is apparently slipping in popularity, so I'm gonna switch to that for now and see how it goes.

Scrumpet, have you any idea what's causing the same problem on your Firefox browser? If we can solve that it might help me get Dolphin working again on my phone.
 
I've no idea what's causing it. It just happened all of a sudden, I opened a thread and couldn't post anymore. I assumed it was some problem at my end or settings had been changed for some reason but I don't know how to go about sorting it.
 
I've only just noticed the 'post reply' at the top left of evey thread. I'm on firefox now and although the quick reply box and go advanced stuff is still gone I can actually post which is something.
 
the "quick post" box is gone on my standard interweb browser on my Desire HD aswell. I have to hit "Post reply". Will download a different browser for it later and see.
 
@ Scrumpet: Aha, well spotted, yes I've got that too in my Dolphin browser.

Download Dolphin, Mr A and see if you've got the same problem. The quick-reply is fine on my standard browser, but not on Dolphin. Try Skyfire; I've had a quick look and it seems a decent browser, the only problem so far is that you've got to double-tap to fit text to screen upon zooming in, but I'm hoping there's a setting to get around that.
 
:lol: Actually I've had an absolute shocker here. It hadn't disappeared at all - I had just hidden it with the button on the top right of the reply box! Deary me, I've been using IE for weeks for no reason. I haven't felt this stupid in a while :lol:

Aha, no I use the normal one, but I have Dolphin installed.
 
I swear on my life, I edited that about 25 seconds after I posted it!
