I'm have to do an aesthetic work in Director

Anyone care to help?! I'm supposed to do a presentation with multimedia which gives expressions to the viewer, like sadness, surprise, happyness, relief, sorrow etc. I wan't to do something with soccer, not the bright side of it. I saw a clip on this forum called "The Other Side of Football". It was great. So my plan is to make a combinations of animated pics and short videoclips to make the spectators of my presentation sad, surprised and shocked about how soccer could be. Is there someone out there with Director-skills who can help out? Our just someone with any idé how I should proceed, I'd appreciate any help.

Is it helpful when I say the best way to learn Director is to mess about on it, and explore it to figure out all the funky things you can do on it?
 
Maybe, will try that out. But some experienced help wouldn't mind.
 
Giving idées, help out with video editing etc.
