Ricardo is only kept out of the Spanish team because he has two exceptional keepers in front of him. That should not and does not distract from his own ability. He's just bloody unlucky.

But some jokers say "He can't be that good, he's only the Spanish third choice....", 'kinhell, do these people not realise the talent both Canizares and Casillas have?

No, decent keepers, but Canizares has something about him. First he looks like a right woofta, second he's got a crazy streak in him (bit like Barthez, but not quite as daft), he's big (well he looks it), and very athletic and very reflexive. Catches the ball a lot too, which is unusual for a Spanish keeper.

He shouts a lot too, sometimes chucks totally wobblers at his defence, always a good thing for a keeper to do.

i think if anything we don't have two quality wingers and a link up player.....the players i've mentioned are young and talented! and we've done well with those types before.. ole, kan-kan, peter shmmawhathisname etc etc..are prime examples.

livvie doesn't want big named prima donnas... i think buying young potential stars is the way to go, aswell!

nah, if i'm honest i see your point but i think it's more of a case of under-performing in an under-performing team. i think we should give the whole team a chance to gel before we start asking certain players to dust off their resumes. Dave n Ryan are hardly old and i can't honestly see them agreeing to play for anyone else.
