Time to create a new thread. An U16s Belgian GK from Standard Liege who just had a medical with us and will play for the U18s next season.

I have seen him a lot for Standard Liege u16. Incredible talent, potentially world class. Nice physique, very good reflexes and very good with the ball in his feet. Typical leader as well. He should work on his physicality, he's a bit weak imo. He'll have to improve on controlling the ball with his feet too, he's a bit shite sometimes. Otherwise a very humble lad. Sometimes a bit arrogant. He's usually shite and I don't think he'll ever make it for us.

A form player clearly.

Make your mind up!

Can never have enough keepers.

Keepers are always a difficult one. We have some outstanding keepers in the lower age groups, but if you don't develop physically, you're going to struggle regardless of talent. Therefore, I can totally understand why the club bring in lots of keepers around the 16-18 age.

Yeah he's waiting for clearance. He played for Belgium u17s in a 1-1 Draw against Norway yesterday. They had a penalty shootout afterwards and he saved 3
Is he our player already or we are yet to sign him? I think based on his recent performance Woody might bid 15 million for him though.

1.85 according to that player profile page but only 16 (birthday was in April) so a lot of time to grow. Anyone seen this lad at all?

This is getting boring. Can we not turn every thread into the same thing
Okay. Can you give some info on his potential then? I think right now we have been signing too many goalkeepers and do you think he can realistically make it here?

Considering he still hasn't played any match for our U18s, how can anyone possibly answer your question?

Well, there is always a chance of someone having seen him play for the previous team though, isn't there? Also he played tonight apparently, I tried to find links to see his game but couldn't but then again someone might have seen that and given their assessment. I was hoping along those lines.

Is this a new thing for us, signing a number of keepers at that age group?
We might finally see a world class homegrown GK come through soon maybe.
