Iggy and the Stooges or Morrissey

Will Morrisey be playing any of his Smiths stuff?

Seriously dude go see the stooges, i saw them two years back at the most un rock and roll sit down theatre venue (weird choice) and it was amazing deffinately the best gig i saw that year (i'm a regular gig goer) the band get half the audience up on stage with them like every night.

Saw Morrissey at Jools Holland last month, he was class.
Never seen Iggy.

Morrisey - self-absorbed, sulky ponce (yeah some of the music was nice). Made "metrosexual" cool.
St. Ignatius - death-cheating, heroin-beating, skin & bones, frenetic, life-lusting punk-lord, force of fecking nature.

Not even close. Saw Mr. Pop with the Stooges and the Body Snatchers. He's got no business being alive, so catch him while you can. Morrisey will probably drone on for another 50 years.

best bands i've seen live are probably Metallica, Machine Head or Rammstein. Green Day were canny too and i'm not a big fan of theirs

Greenday used to be alright before they set out on a quest to become the most pretentious band on the planet, which incidentally they have succeeded at.

I would chose Iggy as well by the way

Green Day used to be class, grew up listening to 'em.
Can't believe what they've become...

It's depressing isn't it. To think they have gone from albums like Dookie and Kerplunk to American Idiot, which has got to be one of the most generic and cliched albums around. 'I know lets dress all in black and paint our nails to attract millions of pre-teen girls. Then we will use generic lyrics from an idiots guide to punk and tell everyone how stupid politicians are and how capatilist America is etc etc to give us that bad boy, rebellious image. Then we can play our crappy songs to the most pretentious videos we can think of to make them appear deep and intelligent. That will make us even more money, who cares if it means we have to be about as fake as pam andersosn tits'

Johnny Rotten summed them up quite nicely 'So there we are fending off all that and it pisses me off that years later a wank outfit like Green Day hop in and nick all that and attach it to themselves. They didn't earn their wings to do that and if they were true punk they wouldn't look anything like they do'

Feck off Greenday.

Morrissey all the way, captivating from start to finish, I don't think I'll see another gig so good again. To be stood there as 'how soon is now' starts as the first song, and Morrissey appears on stages, breathtaking.

Go see Iggy and you will know just how good he is.. 6 fecking 1 and still bringing it as well as anyone...

Sadly most bands do it nowadays in that genre, when they get a sniff of a mainstream fanbase.
I used to love Alkaline Trio, dark lyrics etc.
There new stuff sounds like The Rasmus...

It ain't a patch on their old stuff I'd agree, but it is not that bad.
