great thread giggzy

No easy games in the premier league <img src="graemlins/nono.gif" border="0" alt="[No No]" />

;)

I'd class Newcastle away as a tough one. Any other 'tough' matches will just depend on the form of the team we are playing really, ie Middlesbrough.

Newcastle-extremely tough at Home

Spurs-Win

Arse-a draw will be good, we were heading for this last season until the error by Barthez

Everton-Extremely tough to play, home or away, we didn't manage to score until very late in the game at home

Brum-Win

West Brom-Win

Bolton- Bogey Team, seems like we find a way to lose to them, have to tread carefully

Blackburn-Sometimes good, sometimes awful, but with Yorkie and Coley there, you never know, on paper we should win this one

Boro- have not lost at home so far, their problems are away, and plus Steve McClaren knows this team extremely well.

Saints-Suprise team this season, St.Mary's is literally a fotress right now.

exactly. i'm estatic about the newcastle and liverpool results, but i can't be estatic about games that haven't been played yet.

I hope that fact has been pushed home to the players Giggzy because if that isn't incentive nothing is.

I think if that when the players look at our remaining fixtures theyll see its very possible.
Pool & Arsenal have to take meet in Dec & January for example.

How you come to this conclusion I don't know

You 'll have Newcastle, us away.

I see no mention of arguably the most dangerous team in the PL currently Chelsea .

Leeds won't be weak forever too and Liverpool at home . I doubt they will play so bad again as they did last w/end

Southampton away .

If you think these matches are just turn up and take the points you'll find yourselves finishing 6th !! <img src="graemlins/nono.gif" border="0" alt="[No No]" />

Weve allready played Chelsea away :p
Southampton and Newcastle will be tough but id still be hoping to nick a win. Its all in our own hands and with returning players i can see us building up a good momentum over the next few months

you meant 'when' we beat arsenal?!

Fair enough but I think Chelsea are now a very different proposition from three months ago .

I'd be more concerned playing them right now than anybody - their midfield has got stronger and they are now playing like a tight unit .

I rate Gallas as one of the best defenders in Europe myself and I think they have consistantly the best keeper in the league in young Cudicini .

I fancy they will challenge strongly this season specially if they can avoid the slip up to the lower sides which has always been a weakness .

We have played some of the more difficult games on paper and we're six points behind the leaders, still to play them twice. Obviously Arsenal are going to be difficult both home and away. The Geordies away are tough but its usually an open game and we can pick up points there. Our result at Chelsea was a good one even though we were unlucky not to win, but I wouldn't underestimate them at OT. The derby won't be easy but hopefully the lads will want to prove a point and make up for the dreadful display at Maine Road. Then there are the other teams who will play out of their skin just 'cos it's against us and may nick something, Southampton, Blackburn, Bolton etc. Also, I don't expect Leeds to remain shit all season. So we can't take anything for granted. However, Arse - who are the team to beat, rather than the Scousers - can't either. They'll have London derbies, including Spurs & Chelsea; they need to play us twice & Liverpool twice. And all the sides who used to just raise their game against us are now raising against the Arse also - see Southampton, Fulham etc.

Bottom line is there is a lot to play for and nothing to be taken for granted. Either by us or by the Arse.

It's the old cliche, let's take it one game at a time. If we continue to show the improved form of the last few games in the league, keep up the good work in Europe, it could turn into a season to shut the doom merchants up still!

Our run-in to the end of the season is very tough IMO. It includes.....

Liverpool (home)
Newcastle (away)
Arsenal (away)
And
Everton (away)

Whats more our last game of the season is Everton at Goodison!! Do we really want to go there looking for a win? The way Everton are shaping up they could be challenging come May.

Giggzy this thread makes no sense!

Looks like a good run in, but we don't know what players will be available at the time so I wouldn't start counting your eggs in your basket now

<img src="graemlins/smirk.gif" border="0" alt="[Smirk]" />

One game at a time in my opinion

Absolutely. Which make giggzy's 'one hard game left' theory even more absurd. I suppose I shouldn't take him too seriously though.
