I know there has been a few Kewell discussions going on of late with all the talk of him leaving Leeds at the moment I think it would be a tragedy if another English club signed him. To me he is a far better player than Duff, more inventive, more versatile and just all round more talented! He can play left wing, Striker, withdrawn striker, he is sheer class and we do absolutely not want him supplying Liverpool with his creativity or giving the Arse yet another attacking weapon.

I think both players have their merits. Different styles. But, I would prefer the flair, the trickery of Kewell. I think coming to Manchester United is going to change his attitude as a footballer, if he has some problems on that side. No one at Manchester United is above the club. If Kewell comes, he will behave and see the spirit and will adapt, I feel sure. Otherwise, he will leave like Yorke.

You may want to note that people have been discussing about Kewell v/s Duff <a href="http://www.redcafe.info//ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic&f=4&t=001866&p=" target="_blank">here.</a>

I think Quaresma's also going to be in the equation when we start looking for a new winger.

The poll between Kewell and Duff is very close. In this case I agree with you that Kewell has more flair and generally more all-rounded than Duff. He is the kind of player who can change a match with a moment of brilliance. This kind of "magical touch" will certainly create a new dimension to our attack.

I've heard that Duff is coming to United and Kewell is going to Liverpool

i just have a hard time believing that kewell would go for 6 million, that sounds way too low but he would be an absolute steal at the price

whichever one we get will be fine by me, because i feel that quaresema will come regardless of which one we can get

I agree... ;)

If Kewell leaves (which is looking more likely :( ) I think it will be to Liverpool (if they can afford him) because he's supported them all his life.

And I don't think the Leeds board will be stupid enough to sell another player to Man Utd considering there will be stiff competition for his signature.

But will they sell him to the highest bidder? Considering your financial problems that might be the case.

The choices might be:-
a)Sell Kewell to United
b)lose Kewell and Viduka(or Smith or Robinson or...)

Glad it's your problem not ours.

Overseas then, please.

Apparently the person who broke the news about the Rio to United transfer, is behind this story..

so, there's a chance it might happen.

Kewell is a better option. <img src="graemlins/smirk.gif" border="0" alt="[Smirk]" />

go and buy kewell, hes miles infront of duff in scoring and skill
plus kewell is very versatile can play in alot of positions and scores a hell of alot goals
plus u'll sell more shirts in Australia <img src="graemlins/smirk.gif" border="0" alt="[Smirk]" />

Kewell is my favourite non-MUFC player (him being aussie and all) so i would love to see him at United.
