The best attacking midfield player in the world at the moment i think. He's said in the past "ot is beautiful", and Fergie been quoted as saying "he's the best player in the world". I also believe he's one of the few italian players who would love to play in England because of its physical nature. what he has over schosey is he can play up front... imagine totti slightly behind ruud with gigsey, keane, scholes and beckham behind.

we should then give ruud the 9 shirt and totti the 10... perfect :)

totti will never sign for you lot, or anyone else outside of serie a.

not if he wants to continue playing for the italian national side, anyway.

Funny I seem to remember Vieri didn't have to many problems with making the Azurri squad during his spell in Spain...

Why do you say that?

It hasnt affected our other foreignors international carreer!!

;)

Thats like signing Vierra from Arsenal. Only when hell freezes over!

He is Roma through and through, will never leave, a local boys, type situation, much like butt, scholes, neville's for us, raul @ Real Madrid.

He turned down a move to real, last season according to my mates over in italy, thats when they went and bought zidane instead!

But agree he is unbelievable, plays in that teddy, cantona role.

You never know what will happen when Capello leaves for Barcelona. Rivaldo will be leaving, maybe Roma will snap him up and maybe Totti will be asking for a new environment in the stale world of Italian football?

These days its very hard to say "this player will stay forever" - we were all doubting Beckham and probably still are but he is probably more Man Utd than Totti is Roma. Things change. Owen may leave if Liverpool dont win thnigs.

Only teams that win alot can keep their 'local boys' i.e. Man Utd/Real Madrid. Maybe Roma will decline.

'imagine' this youthful 11 for next season

---------fab---------
gaz--brown---o'shea---micky
bex---keano---scholes---giggs
---------totti--------------
----------ruud---------------
i hope seba comes good though.

Veron is class, anyone who says otherwise does'nt no what there talking about

It's a joke. Totti is treated like prince in Roma. Even for the slimest probability if he really want to leave, there are ten other clubs in Italy willing to break the world transfer record and world salary record to get him.

Totti will never go to Man utd or the english league, simply because in italy, it is still STRONGLY considered that the english prem is weaker than serie a (which i agree with, but thats another thread)...man utd's plc would never fork out the £40m-£50m needed to sign totti and roma wouldnt sell anyway.

also i disagree that he'd do well in the premiership...he doesnt enjoy the physical side of serie a, but the slow pace of the game there suits him and compensates...he wouldnt like the physical AND quick game in england.

finally, we all saw how the 4-4-1-1 formation screwed man utd's season up ALMOST beyond repair and i think next term, fergie will revert back to his tried and tested 4-4-2.

Just my opinion.

Totti is a class player, just amazing, I personally think the best in his position, but he won`t leave Roma.
