I know Fab is a large reason why we have the best defence in the premiership this season, and I would not want to see him go anywhere.
However there have been rumours that he might be moving for personal reasons, unlikely though that may be.
So, IF he was to go, who do you folks think might be a suitable replacements and why (I don't see Ricardo or Roy Carroll being up to the job)?

Some canidates;
Rustu Recber, a ready made world class replacement on a Bosman this Summer, (has the same agent as Rio too)
Carlo Cudacini (arguably the best keeper in the Prem)
Thomas Sorenson, solid keeper, unlikely to follow Sunderland down.
Robinson, Leeds(future England #1)
Peter Cech, Rennes(21, future Schmeichel? 6'7" Czech #1)

He's perfectly happy at United and he has no reason to want to go, as he stressed himself a few weeks ago.

Thats good, I hope its true. Wouldn't want to lose Fab and his #1 fan too ;)

BTW who do you think are good keepers in the french league for the future?
The one at Bastia, forget his name is tipped to be the french keeper one day.
And Petr Cech at Rennes was impessive for Sparta Prague in CL and the U21s, Arsenal were after him apparently.

Nicolas Penneteau from Bastia is a young and promising keeper, that's true. But I don't see him leaving for a club like United now.

Petr Cech is even more impressive. Apparently Fergie has an eye on him.

But let us (I mean the French League) some good players...

BTW I've still to make my topic about young French prospects I promised you, excuse my laziness...

Why should he leave the best team in the world

Makes sense, he was The star for the czechs when they won the U21 championship against France last Summer, the same competition where Escude came to United's attention.
Anyway he sounds like one for United to watch for, he makes headlines where ever he plays;

some info about him:
He's massive- 6'7", 21 in May.
He has represented the czechs at all levels; U16, U18, U21 and is now 1st choice for the senior squad.
Came to prominence as Spartha Pragues' new keeper last season, standing out in the CL. Set a czech goalkeeping record on the way; 1120 minutes without conceding, in the czech 1st division, CL and U21's.
Was the star for the czechs in the european U21 championship in 2002, in the final he was dominant, right through to the penalty shoot-out, saving two and leading the czechs to victory.
Now he's the czech #1, he'll play against the Netherlands on Saturday.

Rustu, the Turkish version of Schmicke and he is on free

I have no interest in Rustu or Cudicini, Robinson is the one that I want, brilliant, one day will be the best keeper in the world I think, better than Casillas to. Apart from him, this Czech guy sounds promising, what about that other French keeper, Landreau or something? is he any good?
