He is a quality youngster who is gonna be a star. Maybe even on a par with Cisse one day. It'd be great if we brought in someone with his ability.

What you guys think? Anyone know his situation and availability?

I thought I was the only one who liked him. The lad is two footed, with Owen's pace and sharpness, is equally lethal and can play in midfield similar to di Canio. The lad is at shaktar Donestk and he has two years left on his curret deal, and they are willing to sell him if he shines at the world cup for an asking price of 16 m US dollars! I think he would be worth Fergie' time and expect him to grab his attention when "Aghawonda" performs against England!

1 We never buy talent a fact

2 When the plc see a price like that they throw up.

3 The plc is the fecking boriest guys in the world and the most cheap.

About Aghahowa. You havent seen him in CM?? ;)
He seems to be a quality youngster saw him in African cup.But we never buys talent as some fans always wants stars and trophies(hmm gloryhunters?.BTW Cisse will cost a little more than him so i think SAF rather buy him.

I have seen him in CM, but I dont base my judgement on those stats (which aren't very good on my current game anyway). Way too many 20s bouncing around to be accurate.

Besides they are out of date, Cisse and Mexes are way better than they are in the game. As is Agahowa. I bet he gets snapped up by someone else.

$16 million sounds good to me.

I have read abt his trickyness and sharpness in front of goal ... but didn't know he's pacey as well ? ... matching Owen's speed - confirmed ??

US$16mil sounds a good deal for me .. . if all that said above are right

while actually ... well - again I have to say that I don't fancy non-EU players actually . .. espeically SAmerican and African ... 'cos once thier Continental tournament started - they will be away and it'll be a no-ending story ..

He's faster than Owen, an amazing athlete. Definitely has a bit of an ego and might not settle for 3rd or 4th choice at Utd.

His english agent is a big chelsea fan (actually he is a good mate of mine), and has big connections to the club, it would not surprise if he ends up there, although i would love to see him come to OT, if not for his pace and skill, for that celebration alone, that lua-lua at newcastle aint got nothing on this guy, when it comes to the backflip ans sommersault combinations! :D

If he shines in World cup expect Fergie's inetest a second time. Feergie tries getting him in 99 but the board refused to realease funds fo another forward.

He go into limelight again straight after the Ireland game ... !!

There have a huge column here reporting on this guy ... on how he shined and some history on how he tortured the opponent defence with his ghosting speed ...

I was asking if he's really fast ... and well I am convinced now ... The paper said he run 100m in 10.3 seconds !! .... <img src="graemlins/keano.gif" border="0" alt="[Keano]" /> <img src="graemlins/keano.gif" border="0" alt="[Keano]" />

Get him Fergie !! ... get him ........
His summersault will light up Old Trafford !!

p/s : 2 negative points though -
(1) he's quite a problematic kid ... and with he being so young I am a bit worry even he come he won't last long under the iron fist of the gaffer ...
(2) African Continental games once on the way, take a long long time ... and we will lose him for a month or even more ... Kanu's problem have been well publisized ...

1. Aghahowa is not problematic.
2. The African nationncup starting from the next edition will follow a FFA calendar. Therfore, don't expect anymore Kanu like porblems with African teams/players. :D

then wat are we waiting for ... Fergie open your eyes !! <img src="graemlins/keano.gif" border="0" alt="[Keano]" /> <img src="graemlins/keano.gif" border="0" alt="[Keano]" /> <img src="graemlins/keano.gif" border="0" alt="[Keano]" />

He'll be a real gem at OT ... we need just abt this type of player ... His Ukraine club is currently slapping a 11 mil price tag on his head but I think for teams of that nature, a first down payment of 7-8mil and then others based on appearance or installment ( they bought him for 5 mil ) should be arrangeable ...

Get him ... Mark my words here first ... if he's not one that have ego problem and he get to find a right club for himself ... HE WILL BE A SUPERSTAR one day !! ... bigger than his national senior Kanu that's for SURE !! <img src="graemlins/devil.gif" border="0" alt="[Devil]" /> <img src="graemlins/devil.gif" border="0" alt="[Devil]" />

and I am still saying that if we don't move ... other teams will ... Here is it ... and it's none other than Mr. Arse himself !!

Teamtalk today :
The Gunners are reportedly lining up a shock big-money swoop for Shakhtar Donetsk's Nigeria international striker Julius Aghahowa.
Arsene Wenger is believed to have met representatives of Aghahowa, who is also reportedly attracting interest from the likes of Juventus and Rangers.
His agent Saife Rubie has admitted Arsenal have shown an interest in the star and Wenger could meet up with Aghahowa this weekend when Nigeria take on Jamaica in a friendly at QPR's Loftus Road ground.
The 20-year-old made a name for himself in the African Cup of Nations after celebrating a host of goals with a series of backflips.
The hitman then added to his growing reputation by netting twice against Scotland in a 2-1 win last month and also scored the opening goal in Thursday's 2-1 victory over Mick McCarthy's Republic of Ireland.
Ironically, Aghahowa could replace international team-mate Nwankwo Kanu at Highbury with the lanky striker said to be poised to move away from north London this summer.

If we lose out on both the speed demon of Agahowa and Cisse ... what have we ben left with ??!

Ronaldo and Rivaldo! <img src="graemlins/devil.gif" border="0" alt="[Devil]" />

Seriously though Man Utd were the first to try and get Ahgahowa in 99 but Lazio bit the to it. He was in their junior team for about a year but then he returned to Esperance because of the racism factor at LAZIO under Sven's recomendation. That rumour in team tallk is just a rumor. Do you think Wenger really want;'s him when his sights sure on the proven Mallorca starlet Etoo? Nah!

Liverpool have Owen
Arsenal have Henry

We need that kind of player and yet now Liverpool go for the next wonderkid Cisse while Arsenal go for Agahowa, the next best thing?

What about us? Kanoute? Di Canio? Give me a break!

I anxiously await the next move - hopefully it'll be us.

Fro 7 million pounds it won't be us cause thats how much the Ukrainians want before Word cup for him, AND Wenger has offered it! :(

We will end up with no one mentioned in this thread.Thats the truth thx to the plc.Maybe Ronaldo on loan but it sounds too good to be true.

7mil for him that's an ABSOLUTE bargain !! ... I think there isn't any deal done just yet ... and if I am Agahowa ... you look at the strikers in Arsenal rank ( 5 of them altogether ) .. that's already a bit overflow ... OT should be a far better place ... with so much space to play for ... and if he come I think he'll be 3rd, overtaking Forlan ...

Arsenal might have sent their "advisor" and "influencer" though ... in Kanu
But on the other hand, if I am Kanu then I will talk bad things abt Arse else if the kid go to Arse, Kanu will be probably one of the very first to get the kick on the butt :p

The kid said he don't want La Liga or Serie-A ... only EPL is interesting him ... see - many potential bidders all out ... only the ARSE now !! ...

The agent said he hope to do something before WorldCup ... and Kenyon said nothing will be done before the WorldCup is over ... GOSH !! ..that looks remote !!! ...

For god sake .... be flexible and just offer the stupid agent 8mil and he will kick the Arse out !! ... <img src="graemlins/houllier.gif" border="0" alt="[Houllier]" />
