Wanted to share some of the better bands here. We've got some great bands now in the rock and alternative rock genre. Some unique ones as well that I don't lister to myself.

I'm not talking Björk or Sigurrós or something freaky deaky like that.

Mugison - Murr Murr. Great fecking song.

Our most famous band last year. Both of their cd's are well worth checking out.

My favorite song

And the biggest hit of last year

Icelandic one hit wonder most famous for the last bit of the song. Good drinking song.

These guys, Agent Fresco, just started expanding beyond Iceland. Got good review from their concerts in Denmark.

FM Belfast. Not a band I've heard a lot from but they are considered the best live band around.

The up and comers. All U-20 year old, got two semi black guys and a girl. The most popular band to see live now a days. Not seen much myself though but I like this song.

This is getting a lot of air time now. Good song. The woman singer is well known as a solo act.

LayLow. A mellow artist but the same as mentioned above. This song was a hit I think 3 years ago rather than 4.

Ensími just released a new album. This is one of their older songs.

The retired band Quarashi with their well known song Stick 'Em Up. They got big in Japan and are in my opinion the best band to have come from Iceland.
Probably now this song from the resent trailer of the Mechanic with Jason Statham. It's been used a bit in movies.

For you Fifa fans you might know this song. I quite like it. Also like this band, or what I've heard from them. A bunch of 20 year olds I think that are just doing their thing abroad.

These guys are one of the big ones to sing in Icelandic. They've just been touring Europe a lot and are very well received. Guess the Icelandic isn't a big hindrance. Very good live.

Don't listen to this band because it's electro something but many people do like it. Helps a bit perhaps that the singer is a looker (the female one)

And finally an old heavy metal band that's about to make a comeback. One singer is now in city politics after the comedian got elected mayor and their friend on base is also a know comedian whose also the biggest screenwriter for TV shows. Very odd how things can turn out in a little country.

This is the best of Icelandic music. :)

Good stuff. Didn't think anyone else would've heard of Mum. Amazing band.

I like Sin Fang Bous. I think he's dropped the Bous part of the name for the new album coming out though.

Seabear - same guy as in Sing Fang. Sometimes sounds like a toned down Arcade Fire

Our Lives - bit whiny but did catch the emotion of the nation following the bank collapse with this song and video

Emiliana Torrini - her latest album sold quite well around Europe and she sang 'Gollum's song' in LotR. This song is from few years back but one I really like.

Bang Gang - a one man group that has only released 3 albums since 1998. Was electronically influenced in the beginning but is now just a soft rock band

Gus Gus - the electronic kings in Iceland. No matter if you like their music or not, you wont be disappointed at their concerts. This song is the dance music anthem of Iceland

Lights on the Highway - A little bit of everything

Vintage Caravan - Psychedelic mushroom man
I have very high hope for these guys. They're only 16 and 17 years old playing old school blues rock. Warning low picture and sound quality!

Ta. Way too much stuff to check out in this thread, but I just heard that song and I love it. Checking out the record on Spotify as we speak.

I recommend the new Sing Fang album highly. Of course, being from Iceland and all, I can understand if my praise sounds a little hollow but the new Sing Fang album really is bloody fantastic.
That being said, I like Seabear more. It's just more my kind of music.
