Would be terrible at any point, but this happening with the end of the Glazers seemingly on the horizon feels like an even bigger kick in the teeth.

Very sad news - heard he was ill in hospital yesterday and I just assumed he was going to recover

He was relentless in his work to campaign for safe standing, a better quality of ownership as to the current custodians and giving a voice to the supporters in which it has been difficult on and off the pitch over the past decade (in terms of ownership, even longer.)

Knew Ian personally and he was a great bloke. His loss will be felt among the United family. Gutted when I heard the news
