do you think that the gaffa is trying to send a message to the board? look he played rio as a striker instead of playing deigo, i think he knows he need to bring in a forward and by highlighting it to the board, they might spend big time, so instead of giving him £10mill to spend they may give him £20! we will have to wait and see

Pretty stupid way of sending a message. "I bought a player for 30m of your money but it turns out we already had good enough players for that position so now I'm playing him out of position. So can I have another 20m to make another unwise purchase please."
