I try to keep all my AVI & MP3 files well organised, have about 200gig worth of movies on there and about 30gig of Music files. Works well for me.

I recently bought a 300gb one for about 50 quid. Excellent investment.
I have 2 x 500g SATA2 disks for all my 'stuff' and a 10k RPM raptor for o/s.
If you're buying an external and your pc can do it, make sure you get USB2.0 otherwise you're going to get some shit performance when copying stuff.

How much of 1000g do you have used up?
Roughly 700gb's worth. I've transfered a lot to DVD's now
Probably worth mentioning i dont download if avoidable usual divx's, i always go for the HD rips, miles better quality for viewing. I've had files downloaded upto 20gb for just one 'clip'.
I recently bought a 320 gigabyte external hard drive from Currys for £70. I don't know if the offer will still be available though.

Burn your movies on cds... If im not wrong every movie size at least 700 MB that is a Normal cd.
That way you keep the movie and erase it from your hard drive...
U can do the same with your music and videos
If you have DVD Writter u can do that, Blunder if you dont have that then use the normal Cd writter and start burning, your pc full of files gets so slow even to start windows and do normal stuff

How do u burn video clips/films onto discs..same as songs?
I guess you are talking about Video DVD. If so, you need to encode them into the DVD format and burn. There are a lot of softwares can do like Nero Vision.
