I don't know if you like metal genres like symphonic metal, black metal, death metal?

I like thrash metal/speed metal, not too into all that doom stuff, never took to it.
 
I was gonna suggest Sonatica Arctica but you have that.

Then i was like, "feck, what wouldn't he have heard of?"

So then i was going to suggest Spock's Beard, but you even have that. So i gave up trying to think.

I could be bothered to check back to 'B,' but there's a weird scandanvian progressive rock band i like called Beardfish. Try that maybe.

The ones you were thinking were good too, i have listened to them but not much, so i will pursue them further, you done a stellar job.

Disappointed by the lack of Paul Simon though, even though he doesn't meet your genre requirements, you had pretty much everything else.

Burndogg, you should listen through some of Deftones albums. White Pony is their best album, but I love their newest, Diamond Eyes, which is due to release in May if I'm not mistaken.

Try listening to Dillinger Escape Plan's latest album, Option Paralysis. Probably the most impressive release this year
