They are supposed to be walking the league yet we're only 4 small points behind the wnakers.

Get a life, Liverpool are not a league winning side, they havn't the bottle, the talent, the players, the assistant coach, the fans, the pitch, or the skill to hold a candle to United. Now go back into your hole.

At least you have the CL to look forward to now.

They were total krap today. Desperate times call for desperate tactics and LFC were actually using 4 strikers on the pitch at one point. Anelka missed two sitters in the space of 2 seconds. Dudek really bailed them out today, otherwise it could've been 5-2.

Liverpool were poor today but to suggest it could have been 5-2 is ridiculous.

Did you see the game live Raoul?

dudek made a couple of very good saves .. could have been 3-4 easily

I agree with Paul

Liverpool never looked like scoring twice today

I did see it live. Kanoute, Defoe, and Sinclair all could've scored. West Ham controlled the ball for most of the match and didn't allow you to get close to James until the end when the ball bounced directly infront of Owen for the easy goal. Litmanen got nothing, Heskey got on crack on goal in the 2nd half when he hit the side netting, Anelka missed two sitters and Owen had Heskey's handball bounce right infront of him.

In fairness, the Owen goal should've been discounted because of Heskey's handball. Anelka should've scored in the first half. He's obviously got some confidence issues.

More importatnly, what was Pinnochio thinking by not starting OWEN and GERRARD ? <img src="graemlins/lol.gif" border="0" alt="[Laugh Out Loud]" />
Does he think that LFC have enough depth where he can arbitrarily sit the two best players out and still expect to win ? What a joke. <img src="graemlins/lol.gif" border="0" alt="[Laugh Out Loud]" />

Liverpool are shite and we all no they are,but then again so do they <img src="graemlins/lol.gif" border="0" alt="[Laugh Out Loud]" /> <img src="graemlins/lol.gif" border="0" alt="[Laugh Out Loud]" /> <img src="graemlins/lol.gif" border="0" alt="[Laugh Out Loud]" /> <img src="graemlins/lol.gif" border="0" alt="[Laugh Out Loud]" />

Let's see,
Kanoute had a decent chance but chose to go around the keeper instead of shooting, not exactly a sitter IMHO.

After nice work from Sinclair Dafoe was left unmarked in the area and should have hit the target.
Sinclair's overhead kick was never going to beat Dudek - it was well executed but I think it was a save for the cameras.
Not exactly five goals there mate in all fairness.

From our point of view, Anelka should have scored.
Heskey had a decent enough chance after good work by Riise, but those two chances aside and apart from the goal we created little even though we had a lot of possession.

The ball hit both Heskey's and the defenders hands before dropping to Owen - looked legitimate enough to me.

;)

Sinclair's overhead kick was half a step away from going in. And what a spectacular goal it would've been.

I know it's crazy what some managers do, isn't it.
I remember old ginsoak doing the same thing against Bolton at OT.

What score was that match again?
<img src="graemlins/smirk.gif" border="0" alt="[Smirk]" /> ;)

From what I saw of the match (last 60 mins) Liverpool were being played off the park until half time. The second half they had lots of the ball in midfield but did nothing with it. Without Owen on the pitch you never looked like scoring. Once Mikey's hamstring goes it's back to mid table oblivion for you.

They didn't make any progress until all four of their strikers were on the pitch at the same time. They were running some sort of farcical 6-0-4 scheme.

We had a 14 point lead over the scum.
We still can't take advantage.

No one seems to want to win this league again. As usual here come the scum to **** it again.

F*cking Fuming...

Since when were we supposedly walking the league?? It is obvious that UTD were going to gain points on the top clubs (in particular Liverpool) in the table since they had a much easier (on paper atleast) last few games. I'm not panicking at all - as long as Liverpool are within a few points of the top then they have a good a chance as any. I was extremley impressed by West Ham today though.
