I just want our lads to do their best and play attractive football. If it´s enough only time will tell but as long as they show that they love the club and play with passion it´s fine with me. Finish above the dippers though PLEASE

I've already decided that United might not win anything this season. Tbh, I just want to go back to watching them play attractive football, and enjoy supporting them once more without all the tension!</strong><hr></blockquote>

its allways tension until were leading by three clear goals. We seem to be a bit short of ideas when we meet these teams who would be delighted with a point. In an open game well kill anyone but when it gets gritty well struggle, against anyone. I hope that if we bring in a new striker soon hell be the type to pull defences apart and move deep creating space behind him. Cantona would be too much to ask for but Sparky & Sheri both did that.

And Sparky suffered as much as anyone from being benched. And Sheri wasn't even properly accepted at Old Trafford until he scored the equaliser in Barcelona.

I was never a big Sheri fan, he just didnt do it for me, never strook me as 100% red.
Its a pity that ppl expect so much goals from Forlan, he is a roamer and drops deep but knobheads wake up on a sunday morning, see he hasnt scored a goal and slag him. Theres too much pressure on him at the minute for him to sacrifice himself for the cause. I hope the new striker is more creative and less of a poacher. we have 2 poachers in RVN & Oggy, Forlan and Mr Who would be a good balance.

Why?
What does Veron, for example, do to be considered a red, that Sheri didn't?

Sheringham allways made it clear that he left Spurs only because they were so crap and he hadnt a medal to his name.
Veron, despite constant whispers about Lazio can be considered as much of a red as any other foreigner. He hasnt been born and bred in Manchester but were probably his favourite team in England at least.

Isn't that why Ferdinand has come?

I cant see Rio heading straight back over to Elland Road as soon as hes achieved what he wants.
All players come to Utd to further their career, Sheri never looked 100% right in the Utd shirt. I dont dislike him for it, im glad he came but i would have been even happier had it been Mark Robins banging in the goals for us at the time, still you cant have everything.

He also said that anywhere else was a step down.</strong><hr></blockquote>
I think 2 yrs was too much to offer him at the time so i think fergie was right to release him.
Everyone knows that anywhere else was a step down.

SAF knows what he's doing it's up to us on the terraces to get behind the lads and shout our f--king heads off.Pound to a pinch o' shit the Arse are more worried of us than we are of them and the scousers.come next May the cups on our table will all be silver and plenty of 'em, well at least two.

Yeah, that game was so dire today. It was painful to watch at times. I was thinking I just want to see the team from the treble winning season again...with the flair and self-belief...where the players looked like they actually enjoyed playing their football.

And to play 4-5-1 we need a 4th striker, otherwise RVN will be exhausted before the end of the year.</strong><hr></blockquote>
I'm actually already a bit woried about how exhausted he's going to be for the return leg of the C.L. qualifier. Besides Chelsea on Friday, he's got a friendly against Norway this week before the qualifier the following Tuesday. In the run-up to the C.L. qualifier, he's played/will have played a lot of games in a short time as the lone striker. I'm a bit worried he'll be drained before that match even starts.

He has just rested for a full summer. So I don't think he will be "exhausted" in the first two weeks of the season. (And the match against Normal is only a friendly by all means.)
