I don´t care if we don´t win anything this season

I just want our lads to do their best and play attractive football. If it´s enough only time will tell but as long as they show that they love the club and play with passion it´s fine with me. Finish above the dippers though PLEASE

i think i'd prefer mid table anonymity this year rather than being on the edge of something all season again and ending up with nothing. i cant take it again. not another last year please.
hey, how about predicting we'll win the UEFA cup?
...no, doesnt work does it? :(

You speak with a passion that I understand, maybe now is the time for a clearout. I only want players that WANT to play for Manchester United, those that don't, please go now, whatever the outcome of the season I will still support this club, my loyalty is forever.

Couldn't agree more.

I've already decided that United might not win anything this season. Tbh, I just want to go back to watching them play attractive football, and enjoy supporting them once more without all the tension!

come on, isn't it all about the tension? isn't that what makes this game exciting? if this was some computer game and we could tweek things just the right way so we won every weekend would it be as fun? i don't think so. it's the unknowns that make football exciting.
don't get me wrong, i want to see attacking football, more than ever...i think despite all the chances we had tonight we still didn't play with that united flair.
and as for a clear, why that's just silly. can anyone tell me when a clear out has happened before? i just can't see a whole team being completely rearranged...or how they would choose the team:
"excuse me...um...do you WANT to play for united?"
"well no, not really, i mostly just want the fast cars and hot chicks."

hear here.

I've supported us for nearly 40 years and the defence has been crap for most of that period. I'd love to see an extended run for O'Shea and Ferdinand, and if the team suffers a bit in the short term for that learning curve so be it.

I do really want to see more blood and thunder in midfield. Like in the old days. Not just a bunch of highly paid players writing about it...get stuck in lads. <img src="graemlins/keano.gif" border="0" alt="[Keano]" />

now that sounds like hot stuff!

its allways tension until were leading by three clear goals. We seem to be a bit short of ideas when we meet these teams who would be delighted with a point. In an open game well kill anyone but when it gets gritty well struggle, against anyone. I hope that if we bring in a new striker soon hell be the type to pull defences apart and move deep creating space behind him. Cantona would be too much to ask for but Sparky & Sheri both did that.

United should get Escude, the lad is desperate to play for United, that's what we need. He wouldn't take playing for United as granted and that is what some players at United do :(

The players that deserve to play for United 110% at the moment are

*Keane - really goes with out saying
*Beckham - incredible last season
*Ruud Van Nistelrooij - He spent time when he arrived in Manchester to learn about the clubs history and the city, most people wouldn't give this a second thought..... oh and he scored a shit load of goals :p
*Ferdinand - He chose to play for United because he wanted to win, he wants to win
*Butt - Probably the most loyal out of the United players, most people would of left in his situation, glad he stuck around. He will have a great season
*Veron - Forget about last season, he really wants to prove himself and I reckon he will be good for United this season
*Scholes - He is a quite local lad and doesn't let the fame go to his head. He comes across to me as someone who just loves playing for United
*Solskjaer - Has never complained once about being left on the subs bench for the beginning of his career. Has done so much for United is past seasons... I would be devestated to lose Ole
*O'shea - Gonna have a very bright future and he looks like he enjoys his football
*Brown - Quality defender, Uniteds future in the centre with Ferdinand... He has already stated he wants to learn from Ferdinand, this can only be a good thing

Well they're are the players I want United to keep... Not too bothered about the rest though

I wouldn't mind seeing the back of the following players, Barthez, Neville bro's and Silvestre (never been too keen on him)

When United have a team of Hungry players again like 98/99 then they will own Europe. That team was incredible, with every player giving it their all :)

And Sparky suffered as much as anyone from being benched. And Sheri wasn't even properly accepted at Old Trafford until he scored the equaliser in Barcelona.

I was never a big Sheri fan, he just didnt do it for me, never strook me as 100% red.
Its a pity that ppl expect so much goals from Forlan, he is a roamer and drops deep but knobheads wake up on a sunday morning, see he hasnt scored a goal and slag him. Theres too much pressure on him at the minute for him to sacrifice himself for the cause. I hope the new striker is more creative and less of a poacher. we have 2 poachers in RVN & Oggy, Forlan and Mr Who would be a good balance.

Why?

What does Veron, for example, do to be considered a red, that Sheri didn't?

Sheringham allways made it clear that he left Spurs only because they were so crap and he hadnt a medal to his name.
Veron, despite constant whispers about Lazio can be considered as much of a red as any other foreigner. He hasnt been born and bred in Manchester but were probably his favourite team in England at least.

Isn't that why Ferdinand has come?

If we don't win anything this season, Fergie'll be out. I am pretty sure the Board isn't as phlegmatic about zero success as you guys!

Crikey, anyone would think waiting for success after 26 years was fun! It wasn't, it was bloody horrible and I am in no hurry to sit here and take stick from Scousers.

We know what's wrong - (1) all is not harmonious at OT, (2) we don't have a balanced squad. It's fixable.

I cant see Rio heading straight back over to Elland Road as soon as hes achieved what he wants.
All players come to Utd to further their career, Sheri never looked 100% right in the Utd shirt. I dont dislike him for it, im glad he came but i would have been even happier had it been Mark Robins banging in the goals for us at the time, still you cant have everything.

I don't think Sheri would have headed off either if he'd been offered the extra year.

He also said that anywhere else was a step down.

I think 2 yrs was too much to offer him at the time so i think fergie was right to release him.
Everyone knows that anywhere else was a step down.

As long as the players are prepared to try their hardest and sweat blood for the time, whilst carrying on the tradtion of being an attacking team, I will be more than happy wherever they finish.

hmmmmmm..

its an important year for United, if we don't look like a side thats got hunger, i think it'll be time for some players to move on.. they include becks, giggs, scholes and a few others that have won everything insight, i think its natural for some players to play with less 'motivation'..they've got feck all to prove...

anyway, hope iam wrong.. i'd hate to see any player move on.

SAF knows what he's doing it's up to us on the terraces to get behind the lads and shout our f--king heads off.Pound to a pinch o' shit the Arse are more worried of us than we are of them and the scousers.come next May the cups on our table will all be silver and plenty of 'em, well at least two.

Yeah, that game was so dire today. It was painful to watch at times. I was thinking I just want to see the team from the treble winning season again...with the flair and self-belief...where the players looked like they actually enjoyed playing their football.

I still don't care whether we win or lose, but only as long as the manager picks a team that plays to our strengths, and the players do their best and entertain.

And to play 4-5-1 we need a 4th striker, otherwise RVN will be exhausted before the end of the year.

I'm actually already a bit woried about how exhausted he's going to be for the return leg of the C.L. qualifier. Besides Chelsea on Friday, he's got a friendly against Norway this week before the qualifier the following Tuesday. In the run-up to the C.L. qualifier, he's played/will have played a lot of games in a short time as the lone striker. I'm a bit worried he'll be drained before that match even starts.

He has just rested for a full summer. So I don't think he will be "exhausted" in the first two weeks of the season. (And the match against Normal is only a friendly by all means.)
