We win the European Cup at Old Trafford in 2003.Beating Real Madrid in a classic match.
And after proudly parading round the pitch with the much coveted trophy SAF retires ..What better way could the man bow out unless it was for another treble of course ( wishful thinking ).
I can't help thinking that The Champions League must be SAF's number one priority given the circumstances, with any other trophies being a bonus.
 
SAF cant retire without winning the FA Cup, CL and Prem at least once. Not in the same season of course, that would be fanciful. ;)

Yes,I think it's possible to finish 4th in La Liga and win the CL (but only if you are Real Madrid ;) ).Our record in the CL is,I'd say,improving ....is yours ?
A serious point : for all your dominance in domestic football (7 championships in 10 years ,I think)aren't you just a little bit underwhelmed by appearing in only ONE CL final?(And although ,you Mancs won it,hardly in style ,eh !?Most objective neutrals would say that Bayern were unlucky to lose to you.)
Now ,how does that compare to Real,Bayern and Valencia ? Doesn't really seem to point to the strength of the EPL,does it?THough,who knows,we might do the EPL some justice by winning it this year !! :D

Ehh ? If that wasnt winning a treble in style, I dont know what is. It was magic, and will rightly go down in history. When talking about great teams, people will talk about the one of 1999, and not about Arsenal, and you cant bear it. Most neutrals would hail it as the most incredible sporting achievement of the century. We have got to the quarters and semi finals of the CL for ages now, its almost gauranteed, and when other teams and players of Real etc are asked who could do the most damage in the competition, guess who they'll say? Well on 14 April 1999 we sure won the FA Cup Semi-final 2nd leg in ample of STYLE against the gooners. Remember how Giggsy tore ur whole defence apart?

I dont think any red on here would deny being disappointed in only 1 final in so many attempts.

All will be forgiven if we win it at OT.

Arsenal will be victims of their own blistering start to the season IMO. Virtually impossible to keep that form up all season (as we've already seen against West Ham and Everton). Enjoyed watching them so far though. If its not going to us (and I still think we will win the Prem) rather it be them than the dippers.

To get back to the topic - I believe that Manchester United have the potential to win the European Cup.

As a Red Devil I think it would be a crying shame if MU did not win it again in the near future. For god`s sake, even Aston Villa won it and Nottingham Forest won it twice. Manchester United needs to win it at least 2 times more to really rank in the top three clubs of the world.

A long way from Utd ??........1)We are the Champions of England 2) Lets see what happens in the CL second stage when you might be drawn against some half decent sides and 3)Do you really think you'll be able to challenge us (or even the Scousers) for the Title this year ?

Well Pete, you're already one step ahead of most of the bin-dippers. They can only see into the past, usually before 1990.

I would like to see us in the Champions League Final at Old Trafford in May and i think we have a really good chance. We have looked excellent in Europe this year without really stretching ourselves. Real have had a few stumbles and AC didn't look as convincing this week. Bayern are all but out. I'm not getting ahead of myself but at the moment we are in the top 3 or 4
