I posted a topic on this last night, and it's simply not economically viable. It's a knee-jerk reaction with no sound real-world basis to it.
You cannot go selling 5 or 6 players and bring in new ones, it will cause more problems than it solves, and would also be very expensive in monetary terms.
You can only really shift out a maximum of two key players a season, and that is pushing it.

The championship manager crowd never seem to be able to grasp this simple fact.

Fergie needs to find a solution and fast. And find that solution without spending a lot of money, as when you start throwing money at problems you become lazy in your thinking/strategy.

Good post Dumpstar. I actually agree.

It's almost a self belief thing..They seem to have lost confidence as individuals and worst of all as a unit..When we played as a unit we always won the close games cos we had that never say die attitude and truely believed we could not get beat,on the odd time we did we were awesome next time out.. We are missing Keanes leadership and most of all his strength of charachter I know we are not a one man team , but he gets on everybodys case when they are underperforming irrespective of who it is ...We have always had a side with charachter this is something that we need to get back and quick.

Spot on. It's the heart and desire that seems to be lacking, not the ability of the players.
More than anything, we're lacking a leader without Keane.
