Was this the finale of season 7 as all the previous seasons only aired 6 episodes per season.

If it is what a bummer, my only favourite british TV programme

That is really messed up, was hoping it will be a long one.

What will they achieve by having 6 episodes per season.

So we have to wait one year for season 8, what a bummer

I thought the ending was rubbish. After being re-united with a daughter he never knew existed. He simply forgets about it for a moment, just to participate in a run of the mill poker game. I know the writers were probably going for the whole "you can't make an instant family man out of a hardcore gambler" but still, seemed ridiculous to me.

I don't watch it anymore. I saw a few after they got the new people in and tried to stick with it, but I just find some of it awful to watch. I know the sort of 'over-acting' the bad guys do is part of the show but it's just begun to really irk me. I saw one briefly the other day where he'd hit his head and couldn't lie.

It's not that messed up. Everything on British TV is 6 episodes.

Hustle got a bit crap when Asher D filled in for Adrian Lester, then got even crapper when Mark Warren left. Now it's got Deano from Eastenders and his lightweight sister and they're taking on the Mafia...it's really, really crap.

Used to be a great series though. 1-3 were some of the best light entertainment TV we did.

Aye, the quality started to dip from season 4 and, save the odd decent episode here and there, has got progressively worse.

It's got more "light" and less "entertainment" if you get what I mean?..The first series was a more edgy, character based thing. A lot of it was about Marc Warren trying to prove himself to Micky...Now it's just "how wacky and grand can we make the scams!"..Which is a natural progression in something running for 7 seasons, but you didn't need to cast fecking Deano from Eastenders. FFS Hustle, have some backbone!
