Any of you lot have one? I'm shopping for a new laptop and the HP DV6 2020 caught my eye. Specs are as follows:

Intel Core i7 Processor 1.6GHZ
4GB RAM
500GB Hard Drive
1GB Dedicated Graphics Card
15.6 LED Display
Windows 7

I basically want speed from the laptop and the ability to run most games well. What do you reckon?
 
Yeah, I reckon a laptop will do most of those things.
 
Yeah. Looking at those specs you should be able to run solitaire without too many problems.

Is it worth customizing, or shall i just buy the one they have in the shop?
 
its always worth it to customize if you know what you want.

I don't think you will have any issues with that spec. How much are they charging for that over there?
 
have a very similar one to that.

i had overheating issues as soon as i got it but i didn't notice. ended up frying certain parts of my motherboard so i had to get it all replaced. other than that, i've no complaints since i got it back. also, it comes with a shit load of hp software that you will never use.

you should look into getting some kind of cooling pad if you're into gaming though, as overheating is the biggest problem with any laptop.
 
Yeah, i'll be buying a cooling pad for sure.

mjs, it's setting me back 5500 dirhams, which is about $1500.
 
Not bad for that spec. I got my son a HP in the sales last Friday. Nowhere near that spec but i got it for $300.
