I think we’re past giving them laps or something, plus they’re too tired for that. We know what they’re capable of, we actually could’ve gone in leading at half time - they just sulked once things didn’t go their way and their heads dropped. Ten Hag has to find a way of not letting that happen. I thought we were getting there after a string of recent comebacks but there’s clearly a long way to go.

I don’t know if Ten Hag commented publicly, but the briefings to the media were very much that Ten Hag punished the lack of effort and distance covered in the Brentford match, not the result. What was unacceptable was getting outworked and outfought, not Brentford being clinical on the day.

You do nothing. Players aren't machines and its not their fault that they had been ran to the ground. We simply lack the reserves needed to rest players

He’s just as much to blame as the players: playing Rashford, Bruno and Weghorst out of position; playing Dalot when he’s clearly been off the pace since coming back, completely naive tactics; not changing things quickly enough when they clearly weren’t working.
